All this *****ing and whining over speed nerfs seem to forget a simple thing. In any competitive game there needs to be flexibility and real variety, MMO's are no different. A well structured game has many avenues of defense and attack that are all equally viable to achieve success. While most other mmo's have the "rock, paper, scissors" approach EVE has a more extended scale. and with such a wide array of choices and combinations the "Golden paths" are destined to emerge.
A "golden path" in a game is a set of items and skills that together make a player have the most statistical advantage over everyone else. In the case of Eve it is speed. the only way to combat it it more speed and then the race of the fractional percent twinkery goes on. The serious problem to every one else is that items ships and skills of the golden path become must have's and this drives their prices to astronomical heights. and anything not on the golden path is a must not have and thus ends up in the bottom of the bin.
Like the great nerfs of the past, missiles, drones and others alike the nanos are feeling the wrath of what happens when ccp fixed obvious glaring bugs in the system. and if you over speced for this path and sunk billions of isk into it I can only offer my laughter, because like all exploiters, you deserved it.

And for some reason your opinion is so important that you had to make your own thread? My opinion IS important and I have yet to make a thread about the latest blog!

Props for having "won" the economic side of Eve, at least among those industrialists that are publicly known. However, with the advent of invention, it's awfully high of you to think that your opinion is any more important than that of anyone else. Should you cease your production activities, those profits will simply go to inventors and traders. There would be no effect on eve, macroeconomically speaking.
The day of the preeminence of the t2 bpo holder has been over for a while now; time for them to wake up. Whatever power or influence they had no longer exists beyond a token ability to disrupt supply for maybe a week at most, so continued arrogance is quite inappropriate. Sadly enough, I'm apart of this group too.

Fine... rock, paper, scissors, blob
You can't nerf blobs. CCP tried and only made them bigger. It's impossible without instanced combat, which CCP will never do. Half-baked ideas about fleet formation being important are 1) technically not feasible or 2) not going to reduce blobbing. Even lag, which hurts blobs, gives the defender an advantage and the larger blob still has a good chance.

Yes blobbing always has been a problem in eve from the very early days of the kestrel swarms devouring battleships. it may never be fixable without serious adjustments to combat mechanics as a whole and the game world even. perhapses if they went as far as to have a set number of people attacking a single target before additional attacks do less and less damage then it wouldn't be an issue to have 30 people shooting 1 ship if only 4 of them were doing any real damage. say it gets lost in the tracking with all the other explosions. as it stands most "fleets" just do a death star sized blob of ships attacking their enemy fleet one at a time. while it's not a compleatly unsound tactic it's deffinately not fun or cinamatic.

T2 BPO holders (by that I'm referring to real BPOs, not shit ammo) have less power in terms of price control but they're still sitting on the best ISK factory in the game bar-none: risk free profit in notime.

By "golden path" I think you mean that the newest nerf is really another stealth Amarr boost. We Amarr now have the best tank and gank, slightly less DPS than blasters maybe but our battleships and HACs are completely indifferent to range. No "vagabond" will be fast enough to outrun our boosted tracking or escape our boosted top range. Our new afterburner-based PVP fits will allow even more PG to make fitting tachyons easier. The boost to frigate speed over cruisers eliminates the weakness of our formerly weakest ship class. The only ships with good EM resistance, the Minmatar ones, are now nerfed beyond usefulness (speed bonus, web bonus, lol). In short, the hour of the Golden Fleet is at hand.

You got it. But why does CCP remove scissors completely from this game?
