I was going through Myrmidon PvP loadouts and in many (really many) cases I saw folks use sensor booster while having Ogre II.
What is the point of having it? Would Balmer TD with speed script be a better option? Maybe I'm missing something...
Please educate me noob :)
Thanks!

BC's, while not having a long lock time, don't have a short one either. A Myrm doesn't exactly require much cap for a decent tank, and most people either fit AC's and NOS up top, so what to do with an extra midslot? Lock faster and cause damage quicker to your opponent.

In addition it might be a CPU issue.
Most mids require a healthy amount of CPU (40-ish for the various types of E-war). A Sensor Booster IIs on the other hand only requires a modest 10 CPU. ______________________________________________ -You can never earn my respect, only lose it. lock, engadge drones = who cares about ECM untilll the primary is dead. Sensor boosters can be very good. ----

But I think Ogres II might not have a chance to survive if primary targeted. I thought that TD will give them a fighting chance...

Apparently they do. I'll use hammer IIs and maybe warrior IIs, so I better stick with sensor booster than (maybe second web...)?

Because 2 heavy, 2 medium, 1 light drone outdamages 5 medium. It depends if you want to go for maximum damage or if you'd prefer to have more spares or variety. |

Depends what you're after. If you're going for max DPS (never mind the… ehrm… delivery problems), 2x Heavies, 2x Meds and 1x Light makes the most out of the available bandwidth.

hmm, why not?
if you are in a gang: 2x ogre, 2 hammer, 1 hobgoblin for max damage. spares are 5 x hammer and 5 hobgoblin/warriors.
the dps of 5 hammerheads alone is pretty bad :-( you can fly a nano arbi instead being 50 km away from the target/blob doing same dps with much more time to gtfo.
edit: ah, someone was faster.

Hey, did you know?
2 heavy, 2 medium, and 1 light will get the max DPS out of the available bandwidth.

I've heard 2 heavies, 2 mediums and 1 light is the optimal setup.

Has anyone tried the combo 1 heavy, two mediums, 1 light, then add another heavy and another light to spruce it up?

Stupid meme die!
For people who actually used the 221 in practice, doesn't the speed and agility difference between drones make that setup a big FUBAR?

No? With this setup, you're fielding one drone of each class, which means that you're actually the most adaptive to changing situations meanwhile putting out the best possible DPS from the ship.

Not that I'm an expert on such matters, but would a couple sentries - i.e. Garde/Warden(depending on distance away... and supposing that trans velocity isn't a factor)- replacing the heavies be a possibility?
You wouldn't have to worry about their speed...
Also, do people *really* use that setup?
Originally by: Frenden Dax My heart hopes that people aren't that stupid, but my experiences thus far suggest otherwise.
