Since joining faction warfare 2 days ago (24th Imp Crusade), my faction war targets are not flashing red. They all display in my overview as simply neutrals.
I have 'Pilot is at war with your militia' selected in Filters and have (as always) the flashing red star selected in my colortags for 'Pilot is at war with you corporation/alliance' (it is arranged second from the top, just below 'Pilot is in your fleet'). I have the same settings for background.
But there are no flashing red stars or backgrounds when I see the enemy in Overview, in Local or in space.
I have deleted my all cache files and logs. I even deleted all my original overview settings, then restarted the client to remake them. Nothing has helped to resolve the issue.

I wouldn't expect an answer from CCP anytime soon. I have the same problem sort of (messed up colortags in chat) and many peeps have had your problem too.
I petitioned this problem and was told to wipe my cache (using windows explorer not in game). This is the only advice you'll get on this.. it has worked for some but not all.
I was so frustrated I installed the game on my parents PC at a different IP address and lo!!! The same problem was there. So deleting your cache is pretty pointless as it isn't a client side problem.
It's a bug that CCP seem to be refusing to aknowledge. Time will tell.

Yes, I've deleted the cache entirely (twice) from within Windows Explorer and the issue is definitely server side. What I want to know is if it will go away if I change corps again (something didn't get 'plugged in' properly regarding war targets when I joined FW) or if this means my account is permanently hosed for identifying WTs.
If so, I'd expect a refund on my most recent 90-day sub payment.

I'm in FW (my main is) and this problem didn't exhihit it's problems till after a week. My overview plays up to.. on completely default / wiped cache etc 2 players of sec status 4 and 4.5 were flashing red in overview.Coulda been messy if i'd started blasting.
You're right.. for me the game is unplayable in this state. Refund.. lol
