So, I with 1 CCC rig I can perma-run dual capital reps on the thing. So I have 2 remaining rig slots. Better to go with 2 trimarks or with armor pumps boosting EM and explosive?
Instinct is to go for the pumps, but the extra 300k hp buffer with the trimarks seems pretty nice too. Advice?

Actually, I think I've answered my own question. Turns out you need the full 3 CCC rigs for dual capital reps with skills at 3 or higher. Oh well.

depends what type of fight you get in, large lag infested dread heavy fights the trimarks for extra time on the BF, for smaller fights where dmg might be tankable go for res.

CCCs, you'll be RRing or taking ALL the fire on the field anyway, best to have a permanent setup. But seriously, more people should have some type of spacer in their sigs to show it's not part of the post. |

Edited by: Shardrael on 01/08/2008 06:08:56 CCC's are all that goes on almost any combat cap
also there is a rule of thumb with combat ships which it is useful to remember,
if it is something that effects a module it will not work on cap modules
if it is something that effects a ship it works on cap ships
edit: the guy above who said trimarks for extra time on the field against dreads is an idiot and or has never flown in large cap on cap fights, you go for all ccc all the time in caps, you need the cap to run your tank or switch to remote repping your buddy caps, when being pounded by dreads in a carrier the thing that saves you is remote repping not a couple hundred thousand extra hp's because that is nothing in a capital engagement.
CCC's are not optional on cap ships.

I recommend you fit the one that boosts your shield rep cycle time, and get someone to remote rep your cap

Hmm your either a troll or an idiot....
Vote now people!
Anyways, CCC all the way, even in smaller engagements, the way to kill a capital is neut so again the more cap you get over what you need for reppers the better

Archon is better with Semiconductors than CCC. ________________________________________

Yepp, because it's quite enjoyable watching your cap regenerate, slowly, to do the next jump. And you don't need cap recharge on a logistics ship anyway. And in the case where buffers are important there won't be other carriers around to aid with cap.

Think you'll find scm will aid survivability far more than ccc will, even if the regen is overall fractionally slower you're reps will run longer, the only reason ccc are in blanket use is the cost, the reason smc arn't in blanket use is because they cost double that of a ccc. Add one cpr (should already have this on an archon) and they become vastly superior.
might just be me, but if i'm flying a cap i won't cheap out on rigs, would be simpler to just put te nails in my own coffin. ***The EVE servers and their patches*** |

You get better cap regen with ccc than you do with scm, not to mention, that fractionally better is 39% better so that fraction is around 2/5 which a fair amount considering we're reducing the cap recharge time...
I would still go with ccc personally.
