I would be correct in believing that this is indeed a Myrmidon on the cover of this book?
Might be worth looking into CCP!
Thx

aah yes good old quote. but to be serious, yes that is indeed a myrmidon. I'm not sure though if a forum post will really get CCPs attention, so you probably should just open a petition about it. |

An Abaddon showed up on some book cover a few years back as well, which CCP promptly dealt with. Not sure what the exact resolution was. I'd imagine either the publisher settled with some financial figure, or had to pull the books from shelves.
This book with the Myrmidon on it sounds awful. "For example, if you are thinking about selling a Republic Fleet Firetail as a regular Firetail, be sure that the market volume is high on regular Firetails and that there are plenty of buy/sell contracts for Republic Fleet Firetails. [...] The players most interested in Republic Fleet Firetails are going to be players flying regular ones."-á -- PB |

That is obviously not a Myrmidon.
The top turret on the Myrm is a full six inches forward of the one on the book cover.

Fleet Academy
Overview Matt Molter is like any other fourth year cadet at the Earth Space Academy. After three years of classrooms and exercises he was excited to get into space and finally get a chance to compete for one of the few command school slots. While life in space can be exciting, it can also be extremely dangerous, which Matt learns very quickly, being forced to test his wits and skills to save a fellow cadet. Life on board the training ship gets even more interesting and exciting as the missions mount in complexity and danger, and his quickly acquired fame as a hero is rewarded by certain female cadets and crew.

"This book was either written by a grossly immature individual or an oversexed adolescent or even perhaps someone who has such a low opinion of possible readers that he is making fun of us, the storyline is puerile and forced to say the least and as far from proper science fiction as it could be.
Our hero or jinxed idiot is a newly minted Ensign who sets off on his first flight on a junior officers training vessel which is manned (sic) mainly by women (I think I counted a total of 5 males in the book before I gave it up as rubbish). The women, supposedly because of the effect on their hormones of high acceleration, become raging nymphos who are amazingly attracted to the hero (idiot). So nearly every other page is covered with highly improbable sex scenes which have been wriitten by someone who clearly has either very vivid hopes or dreams at night.
The Hero, who seems to be able to absorb highly complex systems and machinery with no effort at all even though he has never come across them before, keeps saving everyone from disaster and recieves decorations and promotion after only 2 days on the vessel (possibly he becomes an Admiral by the end of the book but I didn't get that far).
Frankly, I have never come across such a badly writtern book, with such an applling story line before. If you want to waste your money as I did, go ahead and try it. I'm sure you will wish you hadn't! "
Sounds thrilling... |

Aye and don't forget you basicly "lease" the text since you can't do anything with it that you would be able to do with a normal book.

Ok, let me change my opinion.
Sounds like a japanese fanfic. One guy, multiple love interests...don't ask how I know that its just something I picked up as I like to watch japanese animation and sometimes end up knowing about things that should stay in Bat Country(tm) while I try to GTFO and away from it |
