I for one am really looking forward to it. Between all those who read Eve PF and like to write as well, it will not take long for cited articles to start taking shape that make it easier then ever for someone to pick up the back story or research it. (Currently digging through the websites and forum history can be a tad of work for those finer details.) I also am hoping to see a lot of Eve's role-play history and stories be cataloged. I mean imagine how much there will be to learn about some of the large RP alliances? I'd say there is easily more material there then even the whole body of prime fiction.
One thing I'd very much like to see happen is a dialog of sorts start taking shape. In that an effort between the RP community of Eve, and the CCP writing and event staff would lead to a consistent 'fleshing' out of the Eve setting. Not in the form of 'Please CCP, here is a story about my uber character who owns, and changes the course of cluster history.' But more snippet type stuff, like how exactly does the Amarrian faith mutate across the Empire? What sort of unique social practices do the various Matari tribes have of their own? What makes city mouse not like country mouse type stuff.
I know a good deal of it will be focused toward tutorials, PvP / PvE survial guides: along with ship, fitting, and item write ups. But I really believe the richest content will come from the RP community. / "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we do." - Confucius, Chinese philosopher & reformer (551 BC - 479 BC.) |

I agree, one of the things I hope to see is more linkage between topics. Right now when one reads a news article the links tend to link back to the same news article, while chronicles and background don't link to associated information.
Hopefully it will mean being able to link to all the information regarding different groups within the background and understand how things are interconnected a bit better.

Fully agree. One of the biggest problems writing stories is the amount of time needed to research past info and events and such to validate dates and times and such. Many of which have several different dates and times and numbers. (The Minmatar Rebellion was HOW many years ago? When exactly was the Battle of Vak'Atitoth? Who was where when this happened?)
Drives me nuts.

I hate the whole way the chronicles and backstory are organized. It's very scattered. Well, for starters I wish it was published in print. But in terms of organization, it would be nice if there was a timeline of eve history, and the stories were mapped out relative to when they are set in eve history.
