Hello everyone,
I was considering the frustrations some people have with jumpclones - namely the 24 hour timer for any jump - and I figured a really simple and (in my opinion) great fix would be to give each individual clone a 24 hour timer. In this way you could jump from clone A to clone B (setting a 24 hour timer for clone B) and then still jump from B to C or even back to A. Not sure if i'm overlooking anything, but it seems like it would really address most of the 'issues' with jumpclones.
Thoughts? |

Thoughts? There was a suggestion to reduce the timer to 22 hours which I quite liked, your suggestion makes it a little too easy to move around. -áhttp://i.imgur.com/aWNfM.jpg |

Jump clones are meant to make moving around easier, what's the point of making a system to make it easier to move around, and then making it hard to use that system?
The reason we have the jump timer is to people cant use it for instant defence reaction, like everyone put a drake and a JC in the main station, and then go do whatever the **** you want and if there is a fight just JC in at any time, and then leave as soon as the fight is over.
From this perspective, I think it would be best to lock every clone you interact with for 24 hours, thusly:
you have 4 clones, ABCD
You jump from A to B, both now have a 24 hour jump timer on them. 12 hours later, you jump from B to C, A now has a 12 hour timer, B and C have a 24 hour timer, 12 hours later you jump from C to A, A and C now have 24 hour timers, B has a 12 hour timer. You immediately jump to D, B has a 12 hour timer, A C and D have 24 hour timers.
Every time you do anything with a clone, in or out, it gets a 24 hour timer, so you can't jump into it for that time. Ishtar Starfire: As a pure caldari pilot i feel that with the deployment of the new tier 3 battlecruisers you have given an unfair advantage to everyone except caldari pilots. an example would be like giving a fat kid a whole cake while the skinny kid has to watch and get nothing.

clones should not be the easy way of travel. Use ships for that or take podexpress. You shouldnt be able to jump easily from one front to another, and from one edge of the universe to an other, I feel the JC cooldown should be raised to 1 week. Being far away from the place you need to be should have consequences. |

If it worked like that clone A and C could be in the same system or next door. |

Using your system I could jump JC to my deployment area from my PvE clone, then later jump back to a clone in the system next door to my PvE system. Then, later still, jump clone back to a station next to my deployment area... How is that not instant defense reaction?
And jump clones are not meant to make moving around easier, they are meant to allow people to have inexpensive clones for PvE, and clones with different implants for specific purposes. -áhttp://i.imgur.com/aWNfM.jpg |

really?? How do you know what they were introduced for exactly? Point is, we all dont know this.
Its possible they were introduced for emergency situations where your corp/alliance get booted from sov space and you have absolutely no more access to your assets. Jump clones partially remedy this scenario by allowing players setup clones in stations which cannot be (re)moved by new station owners. |

Fair enough, I was just throwing an idea out there. |
