I have to go to work now, and I am not close to a solution yet. I think I understand a bit what is the issue, and it might take me some time to fix it properly. In short, WPF does not work the way I would expect it, and it looks I am going to have to modify some controls to make it behave properly. I am not looking forward to it, but it's not like I have a choice...
So please be patient I will try to fix that asap.

Let's try again. I uploaded 8.0.0.7 with another potential fix for the BlocksSize issue. Let me know how it goes. (cross fingers)

Not working, but the message is different, so I guess that is some evolution?

Which version of Windows are you using ? I am starting to wonder if it is not a Windows issue. Some part of the error message raise that issue when searched on google... Or do you have custom English settings ?
From what I have read, it looks like if I include one more library to the project it might work. So there goes 8.0.0.8 for you to try.

IGÇÖm using Windows 7 Professional. In English, yes, but may have some custom regional settings as I work a lot in another language. Not too sure about those language settings, but I could check for more specific stuff if it helps.
As for the new version, well first there is this message now on launch :
Unexpected token 'M8,5,7.5 l6.5,-6.5 h120 l0,8' encountered at position '8'. at MS.Internal.AbbreviatedGeometryParser.ThrowBadToken() at MS.Internal.AbbreviatedGeometryParser.ReadNumber(Boolean allowComma) at MS.Internal.AbbreviatedGeometryParser.ReadPoint(Char cmd, Boolean allowcomma) at MS.Internal.AbbreviatedGeometryParser.ParseToGeometryContext(StreamGeometryContext context, String pathString, Int32 startIndex) at MS.Internal.Parsers.ParseStringToStreamGeometryContext(StreamGeometryContext context, String pathString, IFormatProvider formatProvider, FillRule& fillRule) at MS.Internal.Parsers.ParseGeometry(String pathString, IFormatProvider formatProvider) at EVEPlanetaryPlanner.Border.UpdatePaths() at EVEPlanetaryPlanner.Border.set_BlocksSizeFromCallback(String value) at EVEPlanetaryPlanner.Border.BlocksSizeChangedCallback(DependencyObject obj, DependencyPropertyChangedEventArgs e)
After that, the auto-updater does its thing now. It offered a new version, and to download some files (the xml files I think?). And then two windows with this message appeared:
Failed to switch element. Cannot perform this operation while dispatcher processing is suspended.
When I click on "close", it crashes.
Edit. By the way, IGÇÖll unfortunately have to leave for a couple of hours now. Sorry I canGÇÖt do more testing right away, but IGÇÖll check when IGÇÖm back to see if there is something new to test. |

Ah we made good progress. This error message helps me much more. I think I am starting to locate the problem. I did put a catch in another place and that is why we got a different error message this time.
I use Windows 10 on all computers I tested with and never had a problem. That might be part of the problem, but I will solve it!
No problem, you are not my slave. I greatly appreciate your time and help. See you later :)

To anyone that has that error happening, what is your Window setting for the decimal separator ? I am wondering if it is not a parsing issue.
I have made a potential fix for this, version 8.0.0.9

Yes, you seem to be working in the good direction!
It now starts correctly-ish, I think. I donGÇÖt see any way to adjust the transparency? ItGÇÖs kinda hard to read. The running text in the header is quite distracting aswell.
A couple things: - For some reason, on launch it always opens first a product data sheet in another small window, no matter what I do (I was checking a POS fuel setup, and "Water" data sheet opens every time I launch the app, for example). - It systematically crashes when I go on the "Notifications " tab. - Nothing happens when I click on "All in One" and "About" from the Aura icon on the bottom. - No option to go full screen like the previous version?
I didnGÇÖt test everything extensively but the only crashes I experienced were on the Notifications tab.
Thank you so much for this! |

Remember that this is an early Alpha version. I mentioned that there are things not working yet.
I am currently fixing some other issue I found in it. But I will take note of what you found so far to fix when I have time.
The Notification crash worries me. Did you setup a notification in the non-Alpha version?

Version 8.0.0.10 is up
I finally fixed the problem with the BlockSize. I have also fixed the following issues:
- Added support to force a reorder of the structures on a planet
- Fixed an issue with adding a route on a planet that would show the wrong 'from' planet
- Fixed support for the Alpha autoupdate that kept triggering at load time
- Fixed an issue with an infinite UI update loop
- Fixed an issue with initial position of planets and controls
- Fixed an issue with scrollbars not showing when they should
-á Known issues:
- Tool crash when accessing the Notifications tab
- Exception shown when trying to add a planet
Remember that this is an Alpha version, so except bugs and crash.

8.0.0.11 is out. Changes:
- Added new options in the 'Tool' tab to control the transparency of the background as well as the Speed of the News ticker at the top.
Those values are persisted between sessions

Version 8.0.0.12 is available.
I fixed the issue with the autoupdater. From now on, the Alpha will auto update properly to the latest version on startup.
I actually forgot to put back the second half of the code that took care of replacing the files with the newer version...
I also put more verbose on the exception when adding a planet, so if you could try again and give me the new message, I would appreciate it very much.

Version 8.0.0.13 is out. If you have 8.0.0.12, the auto-updater should kick in the next time you start the tool, so no need to download it manually.
I added support for the tool to check the installed version of the .Net Framework. The error reported by yutsaku looks like an incompatible .Net version.
When starting the tool will immediately check for the .Net Framework version installed on the machine and if it is incompatible, it will display an error message before closing the tool. If everything is ok, you won't see it.

I added a Maximize button for those that want full screen.
In case anyone wonders why I am not fixing bugs, I am actually working on the bugs, but they are kinda hard to reproduce on my machine. I think the biggest one (crash on Notification tab) might actually be caused by regional settings. So I am going to have to change a few things on my machine to try that, and right now I cannot. Maybe this weekend. That's why I am fixing minor things left and right meanwhile.

what are you regional settings ? France I guess ?
Also, when you have the UI open, could you take a screenshot and post it here? I would like to check something because I believe the UI might not display completely on other systems because of regional settings causing issue with numbers
