I have been browsing Microsoft Live Gallery for some nice gadget for Vista Sidebar and i found one for Eve. EVEMon can show you the same info as this gadget, but you can't place it to sidebar like this. So if someone is using Vista Sidebar and have nothing to place there this is nice choice. I am playing in window mode so i can see my skills training even if i am playing.
To see multiple character you just have to add gadget again.

I browse the gadget gallery all the time and I've never seen this one. Works great!

I've had this one permanently stapled to my desktop for months.
Its awesome, real handy for keeping an eye on the remaining time on a skill without having evemon sitting in the background.
Plus when you skill completes, it plays the "skill training completed" dialogue sound.

I've been using this one for some time now, excellent app and it eliminates my need for EVEMon. Which, doesn't work.

Invaluable. Used it for months. Tells me when the kids haven't skill changed & I do it for them...

I'm staying with evemon and G15 support, that damn sidebar takes much more resources then evemon. At least on my system.

15MB in memory with 6 gadgets running and CPU usage 0-1%
QuadCore rocks when you are running lot of apps at once.
But you are right that on some systems it eats lot of resources and on some it's not.

I've had 3 of em on my sidebar for my chars, i love them, helps save me the hassle of remembering whos skill i need to change when.

How do you get rid of the yellow triangle in the taskbar after skill training is complete? Even after I start training another skill, the triangle is there. Only way I can get it off is to reboot.

Thats most likely because after a patch like this, the API server is usually disabled for a day or two, so you'll just have to wait til they bring it back up again.
