Not sure if there is already one (if there is point me in the right direction please).
In any case, I would love to see CCP add some kind of visual clue in the launcher after pressing the 'Launch' button. As it is, it takes several seconds for EVE to come up after pressing the button... and by the time it does, I already launched the client 4 times cause nothing was happening and I kept spamming the Launch button. |

I notice that the flash changes, that's when IX the launcher and a couple a seconds later the account screen pops up.

Hi Midnight Hope,
This is something which we are looking into. What we have in mind is to display the splash screen until the client is launched, remove the 2.5 second timeout on the Play button.
This way you will have the splash screen show until the client is started just like it was in the old client before the Launcher. If you want to start multiple clients and click Play multiple times you can simply click the splash screen once to make it go away and then click Play again.
How does that sound? Associate Technical Producer - Core Technology Group |

mmm... not sure I followed you.
So I start the launcher, then click 'Play' and immediately the splash screen comes up on top? That would be fine, it's enough that I know the game is already starting and I can quit hitting the play button.
Another option would be to color the Play button blue (or whatever) for a second or two after I click it so I know the click registered.
Thanks for looking into this. |

As with all things Computer, I usually click once, then wait for n+30 seconds.
Immediate spamming of buttons because something did not happen instantaniously is the source of many of my frustrations with people when I'm trying to troubleshoot computer problems on the phone.
"Now I have six of those boxes you told me to expect, which one do I use?"
Have patience, wait a few, if something hasn't happened after a minute, THEN start to press buttons again, or more better, check task manager to see if the desired process is even trying to load. |

Currently:
- Click Play - Splash screen comes up and stays for 5 seconds or something like that or until you click it. - Play button turns grey for 2,5 seconds (But you can't see this unless you click the splash screen that appears)
Suggested future:
- Click Play. - Splash screen comes up until clicked or until client login screen appears. Associate Technical Producer - Core Technology Group |
