I'm starting to get into the same boat, except...
1. Most corps I join aren't that active - In Sydney so timezone wise I have to find corps my own time, even then they are small or not active much, I often end up been the only one on after work or others are on but don't respond (AFKers).
2. Mining is boring, though I have a bit of skills in it so I can do corp ops if need be, but there don't seem to be any running whenever I am on.
3. FW was OK cept for the same reason, no loot, everyone else often loots it, or the FC gets someone to loot it and if anyone else takes it and is found out, you better run!
4. I get very bored doing solo stuff, group is good as long as they are active and we are doing stuff not just sitting around doing nothing or waiting.
5. Not quitting yet. Wouldn't give away my stuff anyways.

This is really the only good answer to that question. EVE is a Game. A pasttime. Something fun to do when you don't have other more tedious things to occupy your time with. If that pasttime is more frustration than fun, it is not working for you and you should find something that does.

Mining isn't about entertainment - it's about having a cool interactive screensaver to watch while you're ironing.
I hope it stays just the way it is.

Though I know full well it's a hall monitor thread, I do feel strangely compelled to ask - why are you asking us if you should quit? Surely it's not our decision but yours? ___ My views may not represent those of my corporation or alliance, which is why I never get invited to those diplomatic parties... |

Explore. Its everything normal about EVE but with a hearty glob of self-satisfaction on top of it.
Like whipped cream, if you will.
Consider that exploration can mean PVE, Mining, Hacking, Salvaging, Archaeology and occasionally PVP if you're doing it in low sec.
Tbh thats most of EVE in a nutshell, but with afforementioned satisfaction cream on it.

3. Faction warfare does not pay the bills.
4. Should I quit or keep trying to fit in? I just can't find anything to do solo.
5. If I quit, what should I do with my stuff?
1: Change to a corp that you enjoy being in, stop being an emo. 2: Mining is boring, but you have to remember, 0.0 mining will fork you enough isk in 1 hour to fund most of you're faction war needs. Alternately make a PvE char and run missions. 3: As I said above, you can't expect to make money from PvP, it'll work for highly skilled players who are battling ships with faction gear (if you even get a chance to get it). 4: STFU with your lame, whines, you fail. If you enjoy it still, try open your mind to other possibilities, your obviously in a nobhead corp. (Remember numbers don't mean anything for a corp). 5: Burn your stuff

Find a better corp, try flying with their guys for a bit before joining.
Originally by: hall monitor 2. Mining is so boring it's not even debatable.
True that.
Originally by: hall monitor 3. Faction warfare does not pay the bills.
True that as well (unless you know how to pew pew, and that comes with #1)

Don't quit, keep trying.
