Eve Wide War One... pt2 ôThe Assault on Xeticö by Duke Droklar, Omega Corp
The Eve Wide War One had been raging for weeks. The CA was the focus of the largest war Eve has ever witnessed. With all major alliances and many unaffiliated corps alligned against them it seemed only Xetic would remain neutral.... but this was not to last. The reasons for the Xetic/CA war had been argued with both sides believing they were righteous. Now all that remained important was the war itself. The Cursed Crusaders poured into Xetic territory like the Huns of old storming the battlefield. Within the first 24 hours no less then 25 Xetic battleships fell before their wrath. Their stations in Immensea were besieged, conquered and supplies for the marauding horde were quickly positioned. The Dark Lord Xirtam, Duke Droklar and Baron Tholarim personally lead battlegroups of some of the finest warriors and commanders Eve has had the misfortune of encountering.
The Xetic Alliance rallied impressive sized battlegroups to stem the crimson tide washing over their land. Time and time again the Cursed Crusaders plunged headlong into the Xetic defense lines leaving death and destruction in their wake. During the first three days of the war the Xetic forces engaged regularly when they had even numbers. However after several days and 100+ Xetic BS's downed, they began running from anything close to the same size. The corp that was credited for starting the war, Celestial Horizon, retreated to a lower region where they ran 15 man mining ops and hid from any assault fleets that made the trip to engage them.
The eve universe had made many claims that Xetic would overwhelm the CA forces. The coming weekend was anticipated to be a multi-front push by enemy forces with Xetic fielding their largest forces which their pilots proclaimed would be the end of the CA domination of their space. While Xetic did field more numbers there was no change in the unwillingness of the XF fleets to openly engage the Cursed Crusaders with the rare occasion where they had drastic numerical advantage. The domination continued...
The SA as predicted made a push towards the CA homeland. The HLW force rallied a smaller fleet but enough to make the SA fleet withdraw to U-Q where they dug in at the OSHT gate. Drones deployed and complimented with a mobile warp field they laid their trap for the smaller CA fleet. A wing of Heavy and Light Cavalry charged up to bolster the CA fleet in OSHT bringing the fleets to closer to equal numbers but leaving SA with defensive advantage.
In U-Q a single gate activation went off. A lone CA Rupture appeared and quickly accelerated away drawing much fire. Seconds later the entire CA fleet decloaked in unison and began engaging. Fire orders were issued and the cavalry streaked towards targets for scrambling. Several SA warped away in what appeared to be panic leaving their fleet mates to face the firestorm that now engulfed them. Several SA battleships went down in moments as the rest fled to deep space. Cavalry were instantly dispatched to the gates to watch for the enemy with little hope of further engagement. Much to our surprize a scout excitedly reported 2 enemy BS at the B3 gate. The CA fleet immediately went to warp. In warp the scout continued reporting, 3 BS at the.. 5... 8... 10 at the gate. Both fleets clashed at close range in a hail of fire and missiles. Light Cavalry frigates and cruisers circled and dodged throughout the fleets like a swarm of angry bees. Ship after ship erupted into fiery debris as the battle raged on. With the SA fleet being routed a few managed to escape. The losses were assesed at 13 SA BS's and 4 CA BS's. The SA had confirmed 12 lost prior to another being destroyed.
The CA wars rage on, the final chapter may never be written... but what is new? The Curse Alliance was born of fire, suckled with blood and strengthened on the hate of our enemies. The CA has its share of losses but no other entity in eve could withstand the number of enemies currently attacking the CA. It is a testiment to the might of the CA warriors that they not only are holding strong but are winning on many fronts. Let the propaganda machines of the weak spin, hurl your false accusations of piracy, let those not present believe what they will and speak of what they do not know. We know the truth, we're PROUD to be a member of the CA... LONG LIVE THE CURSE ALLIANCE!
News Agencies of Eve: As we all know there is much "controversy" concerning the wars. We of the CA would like to extend an invitation for any respectable news service to send imbedded reporters to cover the battles. We make this offer to prove what we say is the truth through unbiased reporting. We will reserve the right to view a report prior to its release to confirm that "sensitive" information is not being released however accurate reporting of losses, numbers involved etc will not be interfered with.

Let the flames begin in response to this post of pure fact... I myself believe that the offer to EVE news agencies is enough to confirm this. --------

What's the purpose of this post? Everyone knows about Xetic's ability, but they dont ever smacktalk (at least they never did to us, because we were respectful in local)

They smacktalk a little, hardly ever though. Sometimes one of their pilots lose control! One thing the6y have to be complimented for is their lack of smack --------

Commenting on things you donÆt have a clue about Bob?
On the forums there are always a few loud mouths, but then any alliance the size of Xetic or CA would have that.
I would STFU if I was you as IÆve seen more smack talk in local from m0o guys than any other corp.

Edited by: BobGhengisKhan on 31/05/2004 17:26:31 I'm commenting on Xetic members being polite. I've been in their space enough times to know that, guy.
Oh, and I edited the post so as to be a little nicer about Xetic's ability at fighting. Look, everyone knows how good they are, so why have this post

Xetic is indeed much more polite then any other enemy we have encountered. To date no Xetic pilot has greeted us "HELLO *******!!!" in local, or taunted us from safespots (With the notable exception of SniperPirate, who I have yet to see in battle).
Local has mostly been kept clean, but CA forces (myself included) have been known to vent our frusteration when we jump into a XIF battlefleet that actually outnumbers us only to see them run to safespots. Other then that, I've had some perfectly friendly and humorous conversations in local with several Xetic members, particularly MicroFrag.
Besides, this chronical is more about the bent-over-a-table-screaming rapage SA suffered yesterday then Xetic.

It's an accounting of the events in the largest war eve has seen. It now includes Xetic. Also, if you had read many of the posts in other threads, you would know that it was predicted by many that CA would get owned by shear numbers and their wealth. They couldnt have been more wrong.

Edited by: Xelios on 31/05/2004 19:26:30 Yeah the fight in U-Q didn't go very well for us this time, then again the only other time I remember CA gaining a convincing win over an SA fleet was about two months ago around U-Q as well. Personally I don't feel bad giving away two decisive victories in two months of daily combat. It was a fun battle though, and it's nice to see CA hasn't completely neglected us for Xetic =) But really, was the smack in local necessary? Recently you guys have been pretty good about keeping smack talk to a minimum, but yesterday was a bit out of hand don't you think?
Let the flames commence.

The reason you dont see duke in a fight is because he doesnt use that name for his character (although he doest have Duke as his char ingame) It stops the enemy spotting our fleet commanders which i must admit is a very good thing to do.
But believe me, Duke is in almost every major fleet engagement along with Xirtam, myself aswell as the other fighters in the CA.

Why not ask Shar Tengral or some EveGuardian guy or the other News page which's name I'm currently not able to remember. The reason you don't see Duke Droklar is because he controls the military operations from his HQ through his military clones Specter and Marz. Through telepresence implants placed in his military clones he has been in 1000's of military ops in multiple theaters of operation.

Awesome Account...
To the people who simply use the buzzwords 'story' or 'fiction', What exactly are you disputing? The numbers? They are actually on the conservative side, Our kill list would put them at nearer 170. The situation? Well you cant deny we lord it over Xetic space most of the time and have taken few losses. You can't deny that we owned SA in U-Q yesterday.

uhh when is this 3 times theres been large scale fights, the only 1 that wasnt a victory was the once with 13 xxetic bs vrs 6 CA/RUS bs & 3 bb. That one lasted for over 40 min b4 our side took enough damage to fall back. btw RUS is insane!

Individually any of these victories would be run of the mill for CA. However, when was the last time any of you were involved in a war against the forces that's been fighting against Curse? This is about documenting the largest war in eve history which CA is the focus of. Despite the odds against us, we're still kicking arse and taking names.
Do we have losses in some minor battles against our miners? Sure do, however the CA remains the most powerful entity in Eve and everyone knows it. We are what so many aspire to be but fall woefully short. That is the root of the hatred of CA.
For those that wish to make their mark on Eve you could join a wannabe alliance and be just another corp in another crap alliance or you could join the best, be hated by the rest of the universe, kill them all and laugh in their faces... CA forever!

Someone did say that you were attacking the biggest diplomacy and industrial alliance in EVE, didn't they? Shame on you for loosing anything at all. (tihi, there is such a neat advantage not to lay claim for being good at anything)
Quote: btw RUS is insane!
We already knew that

Duke, let's get a few things straight: 1. The fictive account of the curse history is written entirely from a curse perspective. - It's fictive because it is so descriptive and verbose. - Your a biggy in CA, anything you say is colored. Don't pretend anything else (not saying you are lying, though) 2. The entire EVE isn't against you. And you are against XIF. Simple, XIF doesn't wish to war anyone really. - Sometimes who is warring against who is important to remember.
---
CLS is backup fully by the XIF alliance due to the invokation of the aging NAP from the CA side, which insidently supported Waagaa's actions on more than one point. Then there is the fact that they are really good guys and friends for a long time and so...
---
Now, let's play the game and talk nice in local. --

Are you sure the root of the hatred toward CA has nothing to do with the harboring of pirate corps (or ex-pirate corps), the many months of uncontrolled smack talking (although you've recently made an effort to bring this under control, and for that I applaud you), the unwillingness to negotiate travel rights through your space for non-members or the generally conceited attitude emenating from those that do the talking for you?

the CA have mastered the art of, "DO NOT ENGAGE UNTIL WE HAVE PROPERLY BLOBBED UP!".
Quote: Do we have losses in some minor battles against our miners?
is what they always say when they lose ships. quite pathetic if you ask me.
Quote: Sure do, however the CA remains the most powerful entity in Eve and everyone knows it.
you take a beating, disappear till enemies disperse, come back and mine and begin thumping on chest again.

how can this be said when many of your CA corps are leaving the alliance?

that sounded too childish to even think up a proper response for.

Today Xetic forces thought 4 battles over Immensea. After beaten C.A forces back three times in a battle with equal numbers, they crawled away and were scattered over Immensea. We ignored the push for Tenerifis as it was an attempt to lure us away. We then took over the two stations we lost. C.A started boosting there precence and we noticed they lost there appetite to engage even with equal numbers. Our fleet gathered in E8 and waited for things to happen. Intel showed backups were jumping in at one of the gates and we worped out to gank them before they could join up with the rest of their fleet at their safe spot were they were waiting for them to arrive. I state we were outnumbered before that jump. After several minutes of fighting we were outnumbered 3 to 1 as the fleet from the safespot jumped to help them out and the remains of our force retreated. I leave the numbers to you as we don't think losses are important. The comming weeks you will notice that we won't give in. We will stand ground. Dig in and dig harder. We will bring the fight to you. Not only in deepspace but in empire space too. The sleeping giant has woke up. I would like to thank you for the battle lessons today. We noticed that you used about 90% of your rescources to yield the numbers. This will weaken your posistion at other vital area's. We do not smack talk in local. We never whine. We will never crawl for you. We rather die laughing.
Greetz, Kalok.
