I say the Caldari need to man up and take out the Foom pos located in Enaluri, Maybe then we can force them back to Aeschee with there tails between there legs, Theres only 20-30 of them on at a time and despite what people think they dont have that many capital ships so it would be an easy strike and a huge win for the Caldari militia.......

1) You know Victoria's self-delusions are coming unraveled when she abandons her quasi-RP silliness and resorts to the same old baseless BRUCE abuse.
2) Few things in EVE are funnier than listening to Corewin come completely unhinged when he loses a quarter of his fleet warping in to a gate.

Was definitely one of the more effective Whiskey Tango Foxtrot factors I've seen. It still doesn't change the fact you blew yourselves up in battleships while only destroying a fraction of the price you lost.

Like it really matters to them, FOOM has a few hundred billion they can **** away on ships if they want to do so. Hopefully FOOM will go back to 0.0 soon and leave us alone so we can get back to the business of mission running.

Heh, sure we lost a few battleships. Overall we came out on top for the day, kept you from repairing the POS, and then popped it totally unopposed the next morning. Far more significantly, I'd gladly lose a few battleships to hear you screaming obscenities over internet spaceships again. People underestimate the effectiveness of psywar. You, sir, came totally unglued. FOOM FTW.

Edited by: Pithecanthropus on 12/08/2008 15:32:09 Everyone has taken this post to such far absurd lengths. When Caldari brings it... they bring it hard. That's the truth. The problem lies internally... trying to to get things done quick and effectively. It's becoming a rarer and rarer sight to see large Caldari fleets moving with pride and backbone. I'm not saying they are gone, but they are definitely struggling to form up to their full potential.
As I've seen it from day 1... SF has had little to no impact, and FOOM are quite overrated. These have nothing to do with the Miltia's current situation.

I don't think FOOM ever claimed to be the reason the Caldari militia is in a sad shape. If anything, I would've expected FOOM's presence to unite and harden the Caldari Militia. That, unfortunately, doesn't seem to have happened either. FOOM has no particular hatred of the CalMil - we're on opposite sides in a war, but when that ends, we'll be more than happy to work with CalMil pilots in other agendas. We expected to see some of the parties who are strong within the CalMil - Exanimo, Duty., CAIN, etc. - leading the body overall, but that hasn't happened, either. The leadership exists within the Militia, but it doesn't step up - and so CalMil gangs are led ultra-poorly (with the exception of Corewin, his Tourette's Syndrome notwithstanding) with such calls as "Jump in and get 'em! Fire at will!" and as a result, the pilots become more and more undisciplined, further spinning the problem out of control. It will take an iron-handed FC to get proper combat discipline into Caldari "Militia Generale" fleets; until that happens, nothing will be solved.
Just an outsider's view - you tend to learn a lot about enemies you live with at point-blank range.
FOOM is the reason for Enaluri and Nennamaila - but the Caldari militia's own internal hell is very much the result of specific pilots within its ranks, sowing dissension and blocking unity.

The Caldari "Militia Generale" cannot be lead, cannot be taught discipline and in they end they donĘt matter. Those that do matter are quietly gathering and they will see that Caldari Prevails.
Coincidently the Fourth District has recently opened a new recruitment drive. Interested parties may find further information here, here or here. ============================================

Given the amount of forces moved against her by pod entities such as Star Fraction, FOOM to name a few, as well as the incursions deep into Caldari territory, I would say the State Militia is doing quite well.
Morale is steady thanks to the vision of Tibus Heth, recruits are joining on a daily basis.
We have lost some leaders but others are rising up and that is a good thing overall.
As more and more people begin to see that the Caldari Nation is the underdog and always has been, it finds the courage to take back what was stolen long ago, more people will join the cause.
This war will not ever end, no matter how much the Gallente and their lap dogs try, until the Caldari people have what they want for a change, the Gallente have had it good for long enough.

I for one see plenty of great pilots in the Caldari Militia, as far as huge leaders, well we Caldari IMO have a lot of competition even with in our own ranks.
Our leaders just don't get enough news time is all, were doing ok.

One reason the Caldari Militia is ineffective is blue piracy. Who wants to join a fleet and risk getting killed by your own Militia so they can loot your ship? It's totally bonkers.
See this thread on blue piracy inside the Caldari Militia.
Bah-humbug, Caldari Militia! You got lots of fine players (and the Corewin and Kane FC combo is really really good!) but the blue pirates gotta go.

So first the Caldari were the high tech powerhouse with a fleet that could easily dismantle anything the Federation could throw at it and now you are the underdogs?
So what is the real truth really?
As for CAIN (being the only Paramilitary corp I have tangoed with on a recent basis) I look forward to our next encounter with adversaries I have come to respect. And tell Trony that I look forward to another duel with him anytime :) |

good start, poor follow-through. Seems many of our pilots grew fat and lazy on hunting non-pod-controlled Gurista and Sansha raiding parties in our high-sec territories in their hard-earned Navy-issue Ravens, and decided to go back to it when some real firepower started coming their way.
Let's face it, going up against other capsuleers is a whole different order of challenging. When the war kicked off, all those bounty hunters brought their expensive missile-spewing trophies to battle. While we still had that many Navy Ravens in the field in large numbers, their superior construction helped carry the day a few times. Then, of course, these kids promptly started losing them to veteran opponents with a better grasp of anti-capsuleer tactics, and before you know it all stomach for the fight's gone out of them, and they downsize to caracals and kestrels, or go running back to the comforting embrace of their Navy liaison agent and never look back.
While it disappoints me that so many of our pilots apparently lack the stones for real combat, I reckon we're just in the phase of separating the usable minerals from the raw ore. Our pilots will harden and adapt, the useless ones will retire from the militia in search of the easy life, and we'll be left with a smaller but better-prepared force of pilots-at-arms.
This war's a long way from being over. The Protectorate may not be operating at peak efficiency right now, but I would suggest to our enemies that you should beware of assuming that means we're broken. |

Originally by: Pithecanthropus Observing from the inside, I've noticed the last month smaller fleets and less of them... slow formation of any fleet... and slow response time to move out. Not to mention a lack of quality ships, quality pvpers, and quality FCs.
This all leads back to one instance... the people who chose to overthrow the Secreteriate and the only Caldari Militia organization we had. Since then I've waited for those who threatened 'civil war' to step up and show they can lead... or at least help provide a new foundation for the State. But... sadly, no... quite honestly, I'm not even sure if those same disgruntled people are still part of the Caldari Militia.
Caldari has no communication... no clear form of leadership... no organization... we are scrambling hard and struggling to even face a 10 man gate camp. Caldari... back to the wall, no where to go... and no one cares.
The fate of us is closing in. Sad to say, I am not tossing out propaganda. This is true and if there was anytime to destroy this militia, it is NOW.
Since I've been abscent for a while due to family matters we will look into this as usual in our own way. We will go through this Galnet Log with uttermost intrest and take according measures that our corporation feel fit.
Cheers
