Just wondering what is your favorite "sub" movie of all time mine is a toss up between:
Boot, Das (or Das Boot)
U-571
If you havent seen them than I sugest you try to, some of the best movies ever made as far as I am consirned

I persionaly found that movie to be way to fake if you ask me
The two I listed were atlest some what beleavible

Theres loads more i just cant pick a fav they are all good,i find some of the best horror/slashers iv seen are in subs directed and writen by people that want to make a good film not lots of money

Well that's because U-571 was partially built around a true story, except that in real life it was the british and not the americans that boarded the sub and it was a different sub as U-571 was sunk by a plane off of Ireland.

If you're looking for a submarine comedy, this one wins hands down.
Only other submarine movie I've ever seen is Hunt for Red October. Damn good movie. Just wodnering why a previous poster ( believe it was the OP) found it to be unbelievable.

Yeah, they should have done the story of the U-505, far more interesting if you ask me.

......... U571 (a movie which gives Peral Harbour a run for which makes me barf the most upon viewing).

U-571 Are you kidding ? The whole movie is a bunch of Baloney.
Anyhow, it was the Brits who pulled of the trick of stealing an Enigma from a sub.
I think it's pretty disgusting the way Hollywood attempted to steal their glory.
Das Boot will never be beaten as the ultimate sub movie. My dad was a sub officer, so I know what I'm talking about.
