It suddenly struck me, why are there no ships dedicated to repair? I was toying with the idea of a capital ship who's purpose would be to go into a system, mabye after a battle, to service fleet survivors for active battle.
No weapon turrets, or launcher turrets, but a bunch of high slots for remote armor/hull repairers. A few medium slots, and a few low slots. A reasonable drone bay to deploy repair drones.
A 20% bonus to remote armor/hull repair systems. And less Cap/CPU needs for remote armor/hull systems.
And a good hold to store lots of ammo/frequency cyrstals, etc.
How's the idea sound?

Logistics: Support ships, engineered for field assistance in large engagements.

Marcus, I was about to linky that.... then I reread his post, he wanted a cap ship to do it.
/me shrugs. I like the Bassy and Guardian personally.

The sad fact is... there WAS supposed to be an awesome logistics Capital ship. It could boost the entire fleet, it could remote rep all day and night, and it makes julienned fries. You could bring ONE of these along, and the fleet would be better off for it.
But unfortunately... people seem to have had other plans for Titans.

I never really saw the Titan as a logistical ship (except the transportation stuff). It doesn't really have bonus' to logistics, though it does make a great fleet booster (7.5% per level Shields, Cap recharge, Armor, or Sig radius reduction is always nice).
The carriers and to some extent moms are the capital logistic ships, and they do their job quite well IMHO.

He means logistical Capitals got scrapped in favor of having bigger guns, [sarcasm]How original right?[/sarcasm].
'tis a shame really. I still think it has good merit and might be implimented one day.

I'd be happy with cap remote hull reppers, and changing carrier bonuses to include them with triage.

no one has mentioned the obvious so i guess i will
carrier + triage = rediculous first aid staion
triage improves teh ability to rep to about what your talking about and killz the ability to deal damage kinda what your talking about..
Tho i would liek to see cap hull reppers

oh hello. i support this.
edit: to make it fair, each races RDD (repair day device :P) repairs some of hull, armor, shields and cap.
perhaps amarr one does more of cap, less of others. caldari are similar but more towards shields, gallente armor, and minni have equal to all, as hull repping bonuses are more or less useless. - PvPers always say "GB2WoW". the message is that EVE is hard, and people just need to deal with it. wasn't it funny how when nano's started making it hard for *them*, that all went out the window? |
