Edited by: Milamar Tokugawa on 07/08/2008 10:02:47 Today at aproximately 09:57 at the Abudban IV - Tribal Liberation force logistics support, while walking in the station I saw an Amarr girl in the corner crying. While I was almost leaving her alone I decided to go there and help her. She was badly wounded so I carried him to the medical bay where he is still being healed. She had severe injuries and several of her bones were broken. An SoE agent has promised to find more about her. I am also planning on taking her as my foster child and train her as to a pod pilot. The girl also has some signs that tell me that she could be Ammatar. I will update you so you hope that she gets better.

I find it most disturbing that you are having difficulty distinguishing Amarr from Ammatar - there are gaping differences in our appearance (almost as stark as the difference between an Amarr and Minmatar). Otherwise, I appreciate your suggestion of humane treatment.

According to genetic tests the girl's grand-father is minmatar, all other relatives were Amarr. It was already faded away but slightly notable.

Thus, she's an Amarrian with traces of Minmatar genotype. That doesn't automatically make her Ammatar, Mr Tokugawa.

I think that the question of racial background is rather boring, and the inherent drama of the rescue is much more interesting.

I suspect she couldn't stand the terror her parents are inflicting upon humans, decided to run away and made her way into safe space as stowaway. Treat her with the honour she deserves or I reprocess your faces into sponges.

Taking in children that, by no fault of their own, have ran into hard times is a honorable undertaking. Make sure she comes to health in a timely manner and she is able to grow past whatever horrible experience she has endured.
Fortunately, children heal rather quickly, at least physically. Make sure her mind gets the same attention.
*features harden a bit*
Quit bickering about what the poor girl's bloodline is. Mr. Tokugawa is relaying the information to the best of his ability, at least I hope he is, and there are more pressing matters at hand than politics in this case.

Update:
She is getting better all the time. She does not talk nor act to enything I say. Seemingly she needs some kind of mental help as she must have gone trough some terrible moments. The SoE agent hasnt found enything and but I am sure that someday we will know more about her. Obviously i need to take care of her and try to get him to talk. I will update you when I know more.

How terrible. Children are a special gift of God and should be cared for appropriately. It is good to see that you understand this and are doing so.
Has any progress been made as to determining where she came from, who/where her parents are, and how/why she was on that station? I would be inclined to think if she was a resident of the station, the station staff would have some record.
Regardless, good luck, Pilot.
May the light of God's Wisdom shine upon you all.

Sorry, I have been busy talking with SoE agents and station staff. No, the girl wasnt seen in the station before, but logs show that he has arrived to the station with an refugee transport, transporting civils out of recently conquered Huola solarsystem. Apparently the Amarr conquerors had beaten her becouse of his Minmatar ancestry. From tht on the video logs show how the girl is beaten to almost death in local bar. It is truly sad thing to watch. However the men who did this were arrested earlier. The girl is already in almost perfect condition thanks to the the wonderful nurses there. However he is still quiet and doesnt listen or at least he doesnt show it. I hope his fears and mental problems can be healed too.

As a personal note to Pilot Tokugawa, would you tinker on your Translator. It seems to be sending mixed gender pronouns. I have rechecked mine to verify it's working... okay, so I had one of my Deteis slaves do it, but in any case, it makes things a bit jumbled on our end.

I'm no longer welcomed within the State and my parents have removed me from their estate due to my choice of professions. Not being welcomed in the State doesn't bother me, I wish to see all 4 nations fall eventually, or at the very least see Concord disbanded.
I have stated before, I find the Amarrian mindset to be flawed. They have an amazing source of labor (not free, but cheaper than hiring), yet they fall short of the profit margins of a much smaller Caldari business that actually hires their employees. As well as their tendency to only enslave Minmatar or those that have debts to be repaid, I have slaves from almost every race and bloodline in New Eden... unfortunately, I don't have any true Gallente or Khanid (my old chef was Khanid, but he passed away a few months ago, and he didn't have any family).
And back towards Milamar, thank you for getting that looked into. And keep us up to date on the health (both physical and mental) of this little girl.

She is now in room talking with an SoE agent. She has finally started talking. I am not allowed to the room even when I wanted to help her. She has experienced some horrible things which would never be experienced by a child. She is starting to trust me and some SoE agents so that we can talk with her and she is talking back. She is still crying but getting better mentally. Her story is truly terrifying and she is very strong kid to have standed trough it. I will inform you about the story when I have more facts. Thank you all for your warm feelings for this truly strong kid.

I am quite sure that we will never find this girls parents and I strongly suspect that even if we find them, they will not take the girl back, as she was not lost in war but merely he was left alone. Therefore I will feel as my honor to take her as my foster-child. SoE and tribal council have agreed to this and this is what will happen, I will grow him as my own child and protect her from any threats. Believe me when I say that she will be better of with me as she doesn't feel any bond to Amarr nation and is rather fond of me.

Well, I did have hope for her... now I'm not so sure. Don't drag her into this charade of a war put into place by CONCORD, don't teach her hatred, don't allow rage to consume her as it has many of the Minmatar Tribes.
And, your Translator is malfunctioning again, would you like me to send my Tech over to take a look at it? He's quite adept at Comm systems. I'll even be nice and only charge you for the fuel and half the labor I typically would for the services of one of my slaves.

New update. She was moved to Rens VII - Moon 21 - Sisters of EVE Bureau for further mental care and I have moved there too. She is already much better and doesn't cry so much anymore. I still have not gotten any more information about her and his parents are still unknown. Some Amarrian SoE agents are looking for persons that have similar DNA from the imperial database. I have talked with some Amarr diplomats and they don't seem to like the idea of her being my foster child. I appreciate they're opinions but it feels right as she trusts me and not Amarrians. And no, I will not require her to train but only the most important Minmatar rituals and I do not want her to hate Amarr. As for the bloodlust of Brutor tribe, I have nothing to do with it as I am Sebiestor and serve Minmatar just to free the slaves and ones like her kind that are left to suffer. Oh and the girl told us her name; Idraih Samil. Let us all hope that she gets better and his mental problems go away.

...and yet, at no point did you say I was wrong, Verone. Perhaps yours is a perspective clouded by the opulence of success and one too many well-stocked bars out in Sinq Laison, I take it? Life was different as an outlaw, a Baron's life in a world of no nobles. It is too easy to be all-inclusive, all-tolerant these days. Problems do not disappear when one closes one's eyes.
And to my eyes, the Ammatar world I held dear is in total disarray. Those who were loyal remained a dwindling number over the last years since I was last in the service of the Veto corporation. Then the very foundations of that dear dream that sustained us was quashed by the vile invader. Many wavered, even of those who I had kept in my employ.
At times like these, those who still stood dutifully took up the cudgels. There are few who will heed our call, but we will not lament. Ours is the way of a damned people - there can be no surrender to the tribals, nor shirking of duty to Amarr. There is nowhere to retreat to, the Mandate is scarred - and this is our destiny. With this in mind, should I show remorse to a defenseless tribal when I rip him limb from limb? No, a thousand times NO! There is no mercy to be given to those who would show us none the same! Should I lavish pity upon my slave crew when they die in engagements with those who claim to be their liberators? No! They are likened to sheep for the slaughter, borne unto this world to suffer for the sins of their rebellious kin. I feel no sympathy!
The entirety of the tribal horde is doomed to suffer the full force of this reclaiming and I will relish the day that am given the honour of giving the order for the execution of the last matari rebel. Only through absolute submission can pardon be considered.

Scagga Laebetrovo how do you exactly now that race is everything in these cases? It is just the opposite, race does not matter when a one is in pain and in need of help! Would you not help a suffering Minmatar child as i did for an Amarr one. Are you such a vile person that you think that only Amarr are worth of saving? The child I rescued tried to escape but I held him all the time. Do you truly think that everyone act same kind that you do? I must think that you care more about the girls race than his condition. And from what you say you seem to be vile, stupid and arrogant person!

Scagga has very strong feelings because of the vicious surprise attack the minmatar made upon us ammatar. He speaks with a warrior's words and is only cruel to the enemies of Mandate and Empire.
Of course all people can be Reclaimed, even us matari, given time. Please do not judge Scagga by his words - he is a man of action and his ways can seem, well, blunt, sometimes. But he is true to the Empire and those ammatar who still fight for what's right. |

It takes plenty of bravery to be a "racist" and a "blood traitor" these days... unless of course you're a traitor to Amarr and racist on behalf of the Minmatar in which case you're considered one of the good guys by the Gallentean gay mafia.

Edited by: 3ll3 on 08/08/2008 18:46:35 Why is it the children who must suffer, war and politics all ways end up with the innocent especially the children being brought to harms way.
Some individuals targeting children deliberately because they are to cowardly to attack some thing or some one who can fight back. using excuses and self justifications such as they will grow up to hate and kill our race or eye for an eye, they kill our children we shall kill theirs.
It so sickens me to the stomach that any one can willingly harm or look with disgust upon a child just because of it's religion or race.
Such people who do so are nothing but filth and worse than Ore Thieves, Children are the only thing that is truly innocent in this universe they do not ask to be born or to even be born to any particular race but they are and as such should not be hated but protected and cared for not treated as things.
To who ever harmed this child look over your shoulder because some day fate will pay you back for this vile and most foul act.

Pilot Tokugawa, I believe that your translation interface is malfunctioning. That aside, I must point out that depending on the age of the child in question, (I believe it is a she from a previous response you made), you might want to hold off on attempting to fully indoctrinate her into whatever social setting or culture you intend to reside with her in, until she has had quite a bit of time to deal with her other mental and physical difficulties.
I have been in the situation you are currently in several times. I would, respectfully, advise you to leave her in the care of the SoE people and simply "be around" for her to get used to you. No matter how much she (or he) may display a "bond" with you now, the myriad of psychological problems that are lurking (repressed memories, flashbacks, PTSD, etc.) inside her will eventually come out, and you will need some professional caregivers there to help her deal with it. Trust me when I tell you, you are obviously a good intentioned person, but you will do more damage than good if you simply try to "take her away from all this" so to speak. I urge that you leave her in the care of a neutral environment and simply be there for her to get acclimated to.
One other thing. You, sir, are a pod pilot. Are you ready for the monumental task of rearing a child? I have also had to make that decision recently, and find that although Lesharu attends a boarding school, it (fatherhood) still eats up quite a bit of my time. I accept that of course, and the limitations it entails. I do not mean to imply that you are unfit, only that if you have thought this through fully. It is a task of epic proportions, though I have already found it to be rather fulfilling.
Pilot 3ll3, it is a sad thing, but the innocent ALWAYS suffer first and most in war. The very nature of "war" is such that only those most hardened, those most capable, those that are essentially strongest will survive its grasp unscathed. Or those placed high enough to avoid its grip. The rich, the affluent, the politicians, the ones that make the conditions for war. They avoid its consequences.
The common folk, the soldiers, the workers, the fighters, they have no choice, they must bear the cost of war. It is their homes at stake, their loved ones in harms way, it is their sacrifices that make it worthwhile. War is a beautiful and terrible thing. It is the greatest of all human endeavours, in war things are accomplished and done that could not be done at any other time or place, regardless of cost or price.
In war we see the entire range of human expression and possibility, under the most difficult of circumstances. Sacrifice, loyalty, duty, friendship, camaraderie, nobility, love, bravery, courage, all these are on the battlefield. Alongside them are fear, hate, brutality, madness, cowardice, selfishness, greed, and lust. A wise general once said, "the battlefield is a place like no other. There are few, if any, real rules. It is a place where Death holds sway, and the men that live there, fight there, and die there are not as other men. They go forth again and again. It is insanity, it is ultimate courage, and there is no longer a difference between the two."
When I see the chaos and devastation of war, I almost despair for our species. But stories like the one Pilot Tokugawa relates gives me hope.
May God's Light shine for you in the darkness.
