race is secondary when it comes to following the path of enlightenment. faith precedes all other concerns, even race and bloodlines.

How have people not figured this out yet?

It is commendable that you took the wounded girl in your care and I applaud your humanitarian side. However...
The Amarr has shown us that race, indeed IS everything even if has nothing to do with DNA or blood. Race is a mindset, a destiny if you will. You have an opportunity in this, one that you may not like. The girl has shown strength and power of her mind by probably running away from her past as did I and many others. But you have to realize that pampering her will do her no good, as well as it might hurt our people. She will grow weak and useless if you let the memories of her past be cured or forgotten. She has seen the evil eye to eye, she must not ever forget.
It might be somewhat disheartening to hear this, but the girl could be thought the way of the Minmatar and fight. She could be thought that the freedom of our people, and all the others as well is more important than blood OR culture. Teach her, train her... then bring her back to her "people". She could then seed the rebellion further from the inside of the Amarrians, an inside agent if you will. That is the only way for her to honor the few strings of Minmatar DNA she has in her veins.
It is up to you to choose her future. If she is a Minmatar, then she should do her duty as do we all. If she is Amarrian... well, her young age is not an excuse. She must be dealt with.
It is indeed sad that the children must be the once to suffer in war, I know this from personal experience, but we no longer have any options. My experiences has made me stronger, wiser, and I wouldn't trade them for my life. We can't keep our children at home and protected, week and ignorant. This is a war, perhaps lasting many generations still. But we must be strong, and raise our children strong as well. She is perhaps an Amarr, but she can still see and help us in our cause. As can all Amarrians. I have seen and met Amarrians that do not share the taint that runs through most of their peoples blood, and I have hope for them.
But always remember the struggle we are facing. The rebellion has not yet ended, the fight is still on. As long as one Minmatar slave stands under the belt of an Amarrian master, it our duty to fight and paint the Amarrian figurines in blood. Our own blood if we have to.
Written in blood, Jtharra K'thain. Born in captivity, raised in freedom. /I salute our lost brothers and sisters. |

Edited by: Shiho Weitong on 23/08/2008 16:35:34 Milamar, if all your actions are as guided by mercy and compassion I applaud you. If not, you shouldn't have a kid, so here's a middle ground.
I will pay all the costs of her medical bills. Physical and mental alike. I will pay for a boarding school of your or her choice, depending on her age. I will even make sure she can get into a state capsuleer academy if she so desires.
The only thing you have to do is to not take this child directly under your wing. Be like a friendly uncle or a second cousin, but do not adopt this child, as your mindset is no longer fit for it. ----------------------- Why is it called common sense, when it's clearly very rare.
I had a mind once, but alas, I seem to have forgotten where I left it. |

Then you should of listened to your Governor and returned to the Republic.
That aside, her race notwithstanding,if the girls true family cannot be found then finders keepers. Many a pod pilot had an early life being taken under an older pilots wing. I think mr Tokugawa has already shown he is going to be an excellent father figure to this girl,at the cost of his own time and expense he has happily put her first and already frets over her well being as any true father does. I wish you luck, and should you develop any problems of custody then get in touch, there are many places i know where those who do not wish to be found, aren't.
