If you are a neutral that reps a war targets pos. Doesn't the opposing force in the war get the right to shoot that neutral in a high sec situation? I ran into a situation where most of my corpies had him flagged but I did not. CCP seems to think that this is normal game mechanics to not get aggro from doing this? I got concorded and thats just gay for relying on game mechanics to prevail. But are game mechanics always mechanically functional?  |

The last time a WT tried to abuse mechanics by having neutrals rep a pos, which did not flag them to us (this was like three months ago) we petitioned it and CCP issued a stern warning, ordering them to stop.
I suggest petitioning it the instant they have neutrals start to rep the pos. Doesn't hurt to see what happens.

I tried to petition it and the guy treated me like an idiot. As if the pos issue was not even there? He kept to the simplex issue and just said I warp scrammed someone. I got concorded. Thats great for simpletons but what the hell. So it doesn't make them blinky to you? |

You made the issue simple by shooting someone in high sec who wasn't flagged to you, rightly or not.  |

The rule is if they don't get flagged you can't shoot them.
Repping high-sec POS with neutrals is an exploit and can be petitioned.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think you were unjustified shooting them, but the game mechanic isn't correct and you broke a rule as a result. I believe the mechanic needs to be changed. If you remote rep an NPC, you get CONCORDED, repping a station should get you flagged.
In this case I'd appeal the petition and ask that a more senior GM look at it. I don't think you'll get your ship back, but those using the exploit will be warned off.
