Edited by: Ultin Harvor on 08/08/2008 15:08:32 Edited by: Ultin Harvor on 08/08/2008 15:02:53 My parents recently got me a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop to go to University with, so naturally I installed EVE on it
I installed the premium client from the EON Fanfest disk as it was quicker than downloading the client (countryside = crap internet speeds), this was fine (took a few goes but it worked in the end) and patched it ok. However, everything that was affected by the Premium graphics update (i.e. ships, stations, and gates) is all wierd graphically. The game still plays fine but it's a shame that my eyes have to be burned out to do so.
I have some screenshots so you can see what I mean here.
This is my spec;
Dell Inspiron 1525 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5550 @1.83 GHz RAM: 2038 MB OS: Vista 32-bit Home Premium
Any help would be appreciated, I love EVE and it kills me that I won't be able to play it at Uni on Premium graphics .
Oh and the first person whose advice leads to it working will get a guaranteed* ingame present.
*Not a guarantee.
EDIT: And by the way, I'm not a huge computer person so please please please try to keep it simple lol. EDIT#2: I've just remembered that when I switch back to the desktop to go on the interwebs or msn, then switch back it comes up with the 'CCP EXE File has stopped working' thing, any help on this would also be appreciated.

Edited by: Terinnon on 08/08/2008 19:18:17 Use the classic client and get the latest drivers for your X3100 GMA...
the problem looks like a V-RAM issue... mayby you can solve it with setting the V-RAM to 256MB in BIOS... but still its better to use the classic client... the intel GMA doesnt have dedicatet RAM or enough power for the HDR etc.
