I was instapopped on my way to Jita in my fully maxed, fitted for speed Crow.
I was popped before I could jump through the gate in low sec, so no warp bubble could have been used. However, there might have been a second or two of lag before I approached the gate.
Basically, it happened so fast I never knew what hit me.
I had 2x Polycarbons II.
All my navigation and interceptor skills are fully maxed (I started palying Eve in 2003). Yet I had no chance.
I was also podded, despite repeatedly hitting the jump button.
Now, surely, something is wrong here
Post killmail and we will tell you with certainty.
Probably a smartbomb gate camp. 8 large smartbombs toast small ships rather fast, they put the battleship right at the warp exit point of the busiest gate to gate route.
If you actually bothered to look at local and be alarmed when you saw lots of nasty piwats in the system you should have known a blocade would be somewhere and if you had some braincells you would have warped to a celestial object that would sent you to the gate at a different angle then the incoming warp paths from gates. But you didn't have enough braincells and now you are left to whine here on the forums to get even more nerfs. --- -The only real drug problem is scoring real good drugs |

we are way past determining that it was a smartbomb.
now we are up to the part where we are laughing at the "not an ebayer, im a very experienced pilot" bit

Am I missing something with this mashing of jump button. Set destination, do manual jump to 0 press autopilot, insta jump thru gate , as jumping switch of auto pilot and start all over again. Will not save you in some cases but certainly speeds up jumping through gates.

5/10 troll, as not even ebayers could be so dense to believe that lowsec gatecamping is suicide ganking.
I actually misread the post to believe his crow got ganked in jita, which would have been interesting, but it was Rancer, and that's not.

OK, disregarding OPs status.
So if someone is smartbombing the gate, if you are in a small ship you WILL die even with WTZ, or is there more to it?

This is not occasional piracy, it is a blockade - all ships are distroyed.

One word YES
OR They see you entered local and get ready for you. As you warp to the gate they can actually see you before you come out of warp. With a little practice and some good timing they set off the smart bomb just before you are in range. With a delay for activation you are now well Popped.
Please NOTE you are NOT invul when in warp.
Carriers & motherships have been known to do this A LOT. But it could be done with a BS or 2 it just takes more effert.
Basically an old trick

Wow i wish i got this much fame for every frigate i killed
Well sorry about your loss Mors but as many people have said there are ways to avoid being killed in low sec, infact you could avoid low sec alltogether, and if you dont take those measures then you must expect things to not always go your way, and not moan about it when things go wrong.
Im replying to this post mainly because i read on one of the comments that empire pvp needs a nerf, i completly disagree with this comment if any thing we make the easiest targets in eve and we need a buff from ccp, our hard work and high risk proffesion in eve gets paid off when we manage to loot some faction gear such as mors crow.
Happy Flying.

If it's any consolation to you Mors, maybe one or two players who aren't so experienced as you are learned a thing or two that will keep them from losing their T-1 frigs by reading your thread.
I hope the most important thing that a newb reading along would learn is that Skill Points + Expensive Equipment does not equal greatness in Eve. If you want to envy a vet player, don't envy him his skill points or his shiney T2 ship. Envy him his knowledge of how the game is played. It's by far the most important thing that gives him an edge over a newer player.
Eve isn't a game where you can buy your way to superiority. The game is to complex for that. If you weren't a "very experienced player" before, Mors, you are a little more so now.
Good luck, and a bit of advice: Fly cheaper ships until you figure out what you're doing.

Another suggestion I have is to spend some of that bought ISK on a few Agony Unleashed PvP classes (including the covops class). It's going to be much, much, MUCH, M U C H cheaper than learning on your own. Many 0.0 survival tactics apply to lowsec and high sec as well.
I feel like I should send that united pilot a few M in bounty for performing a very valuable public service, but meh. I'm lazy, and they bagged a myrm of mine back when I didn't expect them to have hictors yet. We're even.

Oh, hello, it's you
Maybe it shouldn't be nerfed. After all, without virtual death there can be no virtual life, Grasshopper
I'm tempted to turn pirate myself because it seems increadibly sucessful.
Buy the way, your bounty has just been doubled to 216,196,000.

OP you are a noob, and you must have bought this character on E-Bay, there is no question about it. Since anyone, anyone at all, who spent any significant time in game knows that Bounty System is useless in EVE.
All it is a just an Epeen stroker, and what our friend Letelio Denmun will do is this: he will have his ALT pod the Letelio Denmun character in un-implanted Jump Clone, and collect the bounty. Not only you just shown everyone on EVE forums that you bought this character, you also have more ISK than brains, obviously, and gave Letelio Denmun some really juicy ISK on top of your juicy Crow, and juicy implants.
You failed so miserably, it is just amazing, so there is no way in hell you have been playing EVE since 2003, no way in hell. By default even noobs learn things described in this thread within the first month or two of their life in EVE, if they play it at least little bit; you claiming to be an "experienced player" from 2003, did you EVER UNDOCK? Unless you never undocked, and never talked to anyone since 2003, then I would believe you did not buy this character.

At the moment, I do not see a better entertainment on the forums than this thread. Pure gold!
The OP initially called his demise a "Suicide Gank" in the topic name, a Suicide Gank in Low Sec, then after he was accused of being an e-bayer, or buying GTC and converting ISk to a character, he edited the post, and took out the "Suicide Gank" part.
At the moment I am watching with baited breath as the OP squirms under the magnifying glass of the forum community, trying to convince us all that he is an "experienced 2003 player" and all that jazz.
Maybe he meant "suicide gank" as in "I'm going to commit suicide because I got ganked"?
