Hello everyone , I've been thinking about this for a long time.We start out toons with default skills but , we do some skilling on him but after some time we don't want some skills on us because we train it just because we need it at that time or didnt knew what to train for ex. cross training starter toon as gallente and train caldari for 2-3 months then you change your mind or learn more about the game and you want to go only gallente. Can CCP creat an option for this ? When we right click on the skill an option could be : Untrain to lvl 4 (skill is at lvl 5) in 4d 23h and 32s .What i'm saying is that the time to untrain a lvl from a skill should take the exact time to train a lvl to that skill.
I'll wait for some feedback on this ideea.
P.S. my native lenguage is not english so i'm sorry for my spelling.
Cheers !

In what possible way is this a good idea?
Not only that, but I'd bet a lot of people would accidentally untrain skills they wanted to train.

then they should train first reading skill . it's a good ideea because i dont like to see mining lvl 1 on my charachter.
accidentally a newbe got pwn by a nosdomi and got on forum wineing about it.
accidentally a newbe got pwn by a nano ship and got on forum wineing about it.
accidents happen all the time.

No
People can't "concentrate really hard" and make themselves forget High School Spanish classes.
Just accept the fact that your character was required to take Mining I before graduation, and don't bother training it any higher if you don't intend on using it.

So, you want to 'untrain' these skills because they clutter your Evemon readout? The ****?

Seeing threads like this where people propose a merely cosmetical feature and then watching hordes of players with achura chars who most likely never even looked at their avatar picture makes me chuckle.

I had to reread that a few times to get the point and then I realized there was none, except the full stop at the end.

I think the idea is that you could remove unwanted skills and make replacement clones cheeper, by trimming the fat...
I dont think you should have to spend lots of time unlearning anything... a 24h countdown would work so if you make a mistake or change your mind, the skill wipe can be avoided

Skill "exchange" would be a better option although i doubt CCP will go for it as it would remove the neeed for ppl to have multiple accounts.
My views may reflect those of my corp/alliance, but if you wanna know for sure ask em for gods sake. |

I sense many problems with removal of preq skills. And i also fail to find point in it, instead they could just give us "hide skill" option. ---

What about a variation. Un-training a skills, say one that would have taken 6 days to train, and getting 3 days worth of training time back to put into another skill?
Sort of like you focused really hard at math for a few weeks so made great improvement but it meant you forgot everything else you where taught in english the week before and have to start again

And this inability to understand created the distinct urge in you to reply to my posting. See, that's exactly my point regarding this thread.

You "thought about math" so hard, that you forgot how to speak english entirely? I don't think so...
This "erasing memories" idea is lame. And anything that goes so far as to say "Erase, and replace" is even worse.
I could ~almost~ see selective memory erasure, given the Neuralizer in MiB or the whole plot of Eternal Sunshine. BUT... those SP would be gone, plain and simple. You want new skills instead, start training.
