hey there MD.
I'm looking for a self-audit program to run my trading through. I was using walletaware, but it began giving false information for some reason(saying i bought items that i didn't really buy etc.)
So, i need a program that can accurately sum my transactions. (i guess i'll need to enter my goods still in the hanger and my actual sell orders seperately, as those won't appear in the transactions). Any direction would be appreciated.

If you mean EVE Wallet Aware (EWA) That program only pulls data from the API which gets its data directly from ingame.
Data from the API is the same as ingame.
Can you explain your situation more in detail?

Thanks for the reply breaker. Yes i did mean Eve Wallet Aware.
I've been having issues with it, while it does pull data from the API, when i try to pull my ballance sheet using the transactions - i'm clearly seeing items i've never traded, giving me over -100M in loss. also, some transactions only appear on EWA, and when i check my game transactions - they aren't there.
The really funny part is when i try to sum my month's activity, I'm getting a that i'm losing money, when in fact, i'm not. I'm plexing a toon using only trading, no mission running what so ever, so - the isk has to come from somewhere. (unless there's a way to lose money and still plex a toon :) )
In anyway, Once i found out the data isn't completely reliable, I just can't trust that program anymore, so i'm looking for something else.
thanks jim |

Do you use EveHQ? Take a look at their reporting/accounting module (don't remember the name atm), it had decent summary/activity reports.
It even summarized across both accounts (when selected), which was a pleasant surprise.
Note that I don't micromanage what I do, so this tends to be 'good enough.' There are better tools if you need to squeeze every last ISK. I may have come here from Myst Online, but that does not make me any less bloodthirsty than the average Eve player.
Just more subtle.

hey.
EvEHQ for me only took the last 1000 orders. which for me is un-useable, because i go through couple of hundreds a day. which means i cannot run even a week long report.
I'm wondering what the big traders are using..

I think EVEHQ will actually happily use more than 1000 orders, but the EVE API just doesn't give you any more than the latest 1000, which means if you first start using it, it won't go back more than a few days. Developer/Creator of EVE Marketeer

Hel O'Ween wrote:I /think/ I know what's happening. Since the invention of CAK, the API doesn't utilize the EVE account ID anymore. Therefore I removed certain checks from EWA, which would make sure that the user did enter a valid account ID.
But internally EWA still uses the EVE account ID(s) from its settings to create the relation between characters & accounts. Its also used as a replacement for the corporation ID ins some parts of EWA, so that when your character moves from one corp to another, the old corporation data is still related to the character in question.
tl;dr Make sure to enter unique EVE account IDs for different EWA accounts in EWA's setting, even if they're completely made up. |
