Vaden opens the comm channel dressed in resplendent Amarrian robes, dyed the color of blood. While he sips a red wine from a crystal glass, he holds open a text of the Sani Sabik and begins to read.
'For blood is the truth of the soul, the life of the body, and the power of the mind. Giving of your blood is thus giving of your soul, body, and mind. Those believers who share their blood will be bonded as brothers, and the blood friends will use their unified strength to control the universe.'
Vaden closes the book smartly, and gently sets it on his clean desk. He then stares into the comm channel with his contemptuous eyes and begins his sermon.
My fellow capsuleers, I promise not to bore you with another sermon on slavery and its divine mandate, or one of Archbishop's sermons on vice or virtue. Instead, I will speak to you all on the matter of the Sani Sabik, or as it is sometimes called, 'Blood Friends.' There are many facets of the Sani Sabik, but as many of you are only familiar of this faith through misinformed journalists from the Scope, some half-wit Gallente singer, or worst of all, releases by the Blood Raiders, I will begin my first sermon by simply explaining what the Sani Sabik main beliefs are.
Sani Sabik, as I said, means Blood Friends. The core tenet of the faith lies in the sharing of blood. However, sharing blood does not make one a Sabik. To be a Sabik, one must be ordained by God to be one worthy of the title 'Sabik.' God ordains a select few worthy of honor, power, and control. It is we who are chosen. It is we who earn the title 'blood friend' through the sharing of blood and the display of power.
It is on those two concepts that I will end today's discussion. The first, the sharing of blood. The blood of a Sani Sabik is a connection to our soul, body, and mind. It is the greatest gift we can give to another, for we are giving of our very life to our fellows. But this sharing also gives strength to the recipient. And it is through this sharing that we increase our strength exponentially beyond that of normal men. This brings me to the second concept, the display of power.
This concept can confuse many, for they see this as brutality, selfishness, and evil. It is not the case. Demonstrating one's strength, be it in piloting a mighty battleship, running a corporate board, or controlling a score of slaves, prove one to be worthy of the Sabik. Now, you may point out, and rightly so, that not all that demonstrate power so follow the Sani Sabik. That is true, but they are called to the Sabik, for they show themselves to be chosen by God. It is ultimately left to them to realize their calling. If they choose not to, their rejection of their birthright show them to not truly be Sani Sabik, but merely wasted potential worthy only of being trodden under foot. The demonstration of power also shows ones devotion to the teachings, for there is no room for mercy for the unworthy. Those not ordained by God are destined for oblivion and are of no consequence to those with true power. Indeed, for one to show mercy to such as these is a betrayal of the faith.
To close for today, I'd like to let out a call for my fellow capsuleers to recognize their calling and adopt the teachings of the Sani Sabik, for it was prophesied in the ancient texts that capsuleers would come and that they would be first among the chosen. It is for this reason that the accursed Blood Raiders seek the blood of capsuleers, for they wish to substitute their unworthy blood with our pure ordained blood in a vile bastardization of the Sani Sabik rituals. I will leave this comm channel open to any who wish to recognize themselves as Sabik.

Heretic.
Murderer.
Scum.

Silly old man, talking about religion of all things. How many times have I told you that while you may be a devout little "soldier for god", most see things like this as foolish drivel.

Of course he is, was there ever any doubt?

Most of the people he kills are immortal, so I don't know where you're religious views stand on that. I tend to think of it as refreshing their memory

Oh, that's quite the compliment. Having flown with him since near the beginning of our time as Pilots, I can assure you that he was once scum, but has far surpassed that title.

*shakes her head again*
Another silly man speaking of religion and "god". May your navigation computer find you safely to my sights, I find it impolite to threaten my... friends.

We don't seek converts, only subjects.
Why don't you join that other half-wit pretender Revan Neferis in Hell?

How long, I wonder, before "predictable as PIE" becomes a colloquialism?
At any rate, you seem to have reneged on your promise not to bore. I don't see anything here that Revan or Ravin hasn't already spoken on at length. Further, I think that if you wish to gain converts, you will have to offer something we do not already possess. You say yourself that the sharing of blood alone does not make one of the faith, and is of minor consequence next to the display of power. Yet all capsuleers possess more power, in one way or another, than the vast majority of their more mortal brethren, and few are shy about using it. So we assume that most, if not all capsuleers are at least initially 'worthy'.
So then you say that among these 'worthy', whoever they may be, the sharing of blood will bring them together and make them Sabik, with the ultimate goal of universal control. Yet there are many organizations who share that same goal, and many of those are far more successful at it than the Sabik.
It is not that the Sani Sabik faith itself is boring or unworthy of consideration - far from it - but your sermon leaves something to be desired. Unless, of course, you were simply PIE-baiting, in which case, have fun.

I only promised not another boring sermon on slavery. But yes, all capsuleers are worthy of the Sani Sabik, that is my point. I want all capsuleers to take up the beliefs of the Sani Sabik, and take the birthright of the galaxy that is ours. Whether they choose to spill their blood with their brethren and accept the Sani Sabik is up to them. Of course, all that choose not to accept the Sani Sabik are merely wasted potential and not worth mentioning. |

So through sharing of blood between a community, it's supposed to bring you to "unified strength to control the universe" ?
You take "blood friends" too literally.

I believe Revan died permanently some time ago, although I don't think a specific reason was given.
That said, there are several different branches of Sani Sabik, although certainly the most widely-known sects are also the most violent and disgusting (Blood Raiders, and the capsuleers associated, Darth Sage, etc.). ----------------------------------------------

I suppose a man can call himself a Sani Sabik if he likes. For that matter, he can call himself a fedo; but he still won't have tentacles.

Last time I checked, it was Blood Fiends, not Friends, although I concede my NeoCom may have been playing up. "Blood Friends" makes you sound like a group of disaffected middle-class teenagers with a penchant for painting their bedrooms black and wearing too much make-up.
Mind you, "Blood Fiends" sounds like something a low budget Gallente holoreel scriptwriter might come up with... "Attack of the Blood Fiends!"...
Think you're on a losing streak with or without the silent and possibly invisible "r".
