Edited by: ThoRHammer6213 on 14/08/2008 11:49:36 I have found that one thing that defeats all ore stealing/baiting,tactics mentioned here is ignoring the aggressor, and don't jetcan mine. Also keep a watch on all people entering and leaving the asteroid field you are in while you are mining. Make certain that no one is within 5 meters of your ship. If so then stop mining or jump to another asteroid field or solar system. Doing this defeats them every time, and you can be happy to know that their eyes flood with tears when you finally fill your cargo hold up with ore and head back to the space station and they were not able to take any of it.
I laugh in their collective faces.

I don't think you understand how griefers function. They umm, they don't really do the whole 'crying' thing, and having one useless carebear dodge us doesn't really matter, because your kind are a dime a dozen, and we'll find someone fragile to beat up right quick regardless. Their terrified bleats and pleas for mercy are our gasoline, and we can fill up just about anywhere.
But uh, way to go, fella - I haven't seen anyone paint a target on their back before.

Oh, sure, I'll carry the ore home in my pockets, I suppose. OR, you can man up, get into a corp with some blokes with balls, so that when someone can flips you, you take the aggro and you FIGHT, your guys have your back and everyone has a good scrap! *rolls eyes* Guys like this give professional miners a bad name.

What a nice day this is! I was mining in one of Duripant's asteroid belts, and my fleet and I were almost done filling up our 2nd tanker full of ore. I periodically scanned the area for the usual bone-headed, ore thieves that cruise about, or the usually creepoids with no life who rams into people who are mining trying to take out their infantile frustrations when far off in the distance I noticed this big, black, rectangular ship moving at what I considered a very slow pace. I ignored it and went back to mining.
Five minutes later I scanned the area, and I noticed that the black ship was getting closer to my position, but it was still moving at a snails pace, so I turned my attention to commanding the other ships to spread out a little. I don't know why I did this, but it certainly turned out to be a good idea later on in hindsight. I then hopped on the market page to find out the price of a single, dual diode mining, laser was so I could purchase 30 of them. I closed the market page just in time to see the black ship slide slowly into view, right into the middle of my ship formation. I was about to give the order to the other ships to spread out further, but my attention was suddenly very occupied with the tremendous explosion that took place right before my very eyes. That black ship blew the hell up! Or that's what it looked like from my perspective. My 1st and 2nd level armor turned an instant red, and my mining drones seemed to all have vanished along with all the other mining drones of the other ships in my fleet, and at that exact moment, Concord and company showed up and dealt out some EVE justice, and when the smoke cleared, there was nothing left but this little, pathetic pod sitting next to a wrecked ship.
I guess some thoughtless clown decided he was going to get himself a 4 for 1 special with myself, and my fleet guest starring as the victims of his little ill-conceived endeavor, but he failed because all of my ships suffered only minor damage, and while my mining lasers were still going full bore, he was nothing but a little pod. I honestly couldn't stop laughing. I also checked the wreck that he left behind and I couldn't help but notice the 4 smart bombs that were there. I wanted to take them, but then if I did that would make me no better than the thieving s****that one finds cruising about in the world of EVE.
Yes indeed. My fleet survived this mama's boy attempts at acting out. This should be a lesson to all of you bad people on EVE. Also keep in mind that I am one of the good guys. I simply have no patience for Thieves, or Pirates, or the totally mental Gankers, and Griefers out there, but I will give you a warning...don't let me catch any one you out in a 0.0 sector because if I do I will take out the trash, and I shall not dispense any mercy.

I don't know but the ship had to be a Mimmatar ship. I've never seen a ship like that before. I should have checked the local channel to see if he was saying anything but I didn't. I would have to say that was the most exciting thing to ever happen in EVE that I witnessed. "I shall Dispense No MercY" |

Not really. I spent 2 weeks in a 0.0 sector to see if I could survive and thrive out there, and make a profit. I couldn't make much of a profit because of all the interruptions that go on out there with all the evil people being their evil selves. It gets in the way of making the money, and in the end its more trouble and effort than its worth. Besides, why would I want to hang out in an area full of bad people who can't follow the rules?

Good grief whining and smack talk?
Let's see if we have this right:
Your Corp is named for yourself, there are 4 members in your Corp, all of them end in the numbers "6213," the oldest being REAPER6213 at about 9 months old. Your HQ is in Duripant, the starting location for the Gallente's Federal Navy NPC "starter" Corp, and this is where you actively mine all together.
Hmmmm... not sure what I find more funny, this thread, or the fact that someone who read it went to all the trouble to suicide gank the 4 of you and failed... I am assuming that's the reason for the mass of CONCORD in belt 1...?

Duripant is one locations I hang out at. I made a Corporation there just to see what it would be like. I mine there sometimes, but my favorite mining places are in 0.5 and 0.4 security sectors.
I was not attempting to be a Troll here. My whole point in this thread was pointing out that not everyone gets off on the thievery, and griefing going on in the world of EVE. Some people play this game to mine and trade. I'm one of them. I've made 500 million so far and maybe have done 1 mission in the whole time I've been here. I mine, trade and sell. Thats the game for me. All that other stuff that's going on I just try to steer clear of it.
