Edited by: Manalapan on 16/08/2008 06:44:41 The long awaited and unfortunately delayed launch of Dynasty Banking's new systems has finally become a reality. The complete details of the launch can be found on our page under announcements or on the forum post.
Important notes if you never changed your password from the default it has been changed for you. You should be receiving this password within 24hrs. If you do not please contact me. Also, due to certain changes old history will not be visible (still exists though).
Thanks to Iknota for his hard work on the site most of what you will notice and enjoy was made possible by Iknota.

I will be posting a guide on how to use the new system shortly.
Just know that it works more like EVE's login now. Your login name has nothing to do with your account or the character who made the account. All work and no play makes Iknota a dull banker. |

I hope you guys keep it up. I like the way you came from a lot of abuse and have really shot through and made it to a quite considerable size (17b). I don't doubt I will see you guys at well above the 50b size over the coming year/s.
I might actually start a Dynasty account to check out your interface tonight. I have been meaning to do it for quite some time now.
Keep up the good work. |

I might actually start a Dynasty account to check out your interface tonight [as it might yield even more mud to throw / humiliate you]. I have been meaning to do it for quite some time now [ TBH since the time you announced the interface improvements, I can't sleep well at night, I hope it turns out to be shitty].
Keep up the good work [and learn your place!].

Sorry YGR theres no drama you can inject here. I have spoken with Manalapan on more than one occasion as well as one of his old directors. There is absolutely no animosity between EBANK and Dynasty bank. Hexxx could also attest to this having worked with Manalapan offering various suggestions to Dynasty.
Dynasty are proving the naysayers wrong with every step they take. Considering their first thread was met with insane amounts of criticism anyone who was around back then would know what a feat even 17b now is. |

Relax Ricdic, it's not like I'm trying to take your toys away or something (deprive you of your fantasy social status), however the very moment you will realize this is just a game you will learn to enjoy my posts.

Sorry it was kinda mean of me to sleep without really explaining the system even a bit.
What you do is make an Login Name by going here. Then you *Link* your old account to your login name. This allows you to be connected to both a personal account and a corporate account.
I know this seems odd and unnecessary for most users, but it could eventually allow for way more flexibility in the bank.(possibly multiple accounts or specialized accounts)
I'll finish the detailed guide with haste. All work and no play makes Iknota a dull banker. |

As one of the bigger abusers I really hate to say this but when I get a chance I'll open an account and toss a mil in to at least see how it works. You guys certainly surprised me and hopefully you'll continue to defy my pessimism.

Manalapan, I started an account yesterday or the day before), however, I am not able to log in. Can you please forward "specific" instructions to me via e-mail so I can access my account? Also, for some reason, I was able to access it briefly at some point and there was a mistaken zero balance. Cheers, Dev

So, you finally tempted me into making an account. You win... this time! ;f
Anyways, I was highly impressed by your site & its functionality. Not quite as professional or or polished as the ebank site, but functional.
The issue remains, of course, of trust. Ebank has an all-star cast of employees that are known & respected. Some of the steps they take to secure customer isk are detailed on their website (unlike yours) and further security measures have been discussed on these forums by ebank employees. With you, it's still all very vague. I don't see anything about it on your site, and I don't remember seeing you post anything concrete about it (though I don't always keep up with the forums). Even if it's detailed in some forum post somewhere, you can't expect the average user to go searching through the forums trying to find it. There should be a page on your site dedicated to that sort of thing.
What I would like to see: a list of the basic measures you take to secure isk. A list of employees, maybe some basic bios about them. i.e, convince new customers that they aren't transferring isk to "some guy," but a bank staffed by professional employees, and that they aren't relying solely on trust to guard the isk in your protection. Also, a "Terms & Conditions" page would be appreciated.
I checked out your loan application form, and while it looks functional, I have no idea what sort of rates you offer, the size of your loans, collateral requirements, etc. All I could find was that you ask 8% interest for GTC loans. This is less critical than the other issues I mentioned, but it's nice to know exactly what you offer without having to type up an app and ask.
So yeah. Congrats on making it this far, and doing so well. While your initial offering didn't exactly inspire confidence, you possess two very important traits for business; persistence, and the ability to learn from mistakes. Also, you have another crucial skill (for eve): very, very thick skin. :P

Hehe some good ideas!
I've been meaning to fill the site with more *content* and less features soon. Recently I just wanted to get automated deposits and the account related stuff all working.
The hard part is that, while I understand the code in the site I made, Manalapan doesn't always, and therefor has a hard time making his own pages. We will, hopefully, soon have a forum on our site that would allow for him to post information as he wants available to the public that I could put on the main site somewhere if need be.
And finally, the loan form is going to be updated soon with better wording and an example. It has been in the works, but I don't have time to dedicate hours to the site at the moment. All work and no play makes Iknota a dull banker. |

Iknota,
Thank you for taking care of this for me so quickly. Based upon your evemail I was able to set up my acount and I am quite satisified with those results.
I am interested in making further investments however I have a primary concern. You list the total deposits that Dynasty Bank has in the various forms of investment vehicles. However, I did not see any information explaining how many loans you have outstanding, the terms of those loans, and the interest rates involved. In order for me to be comfortable in making further investments I would need to gain more comfort with the loan receivables you have and their profile. The risk, of course, is that you are accepting deposits and required to make reasonable interest payments for these funds but have minimal loans and at some point, maybe even very soon, you will not be able to meet your interest payments if you have an increase in withdrawls. Is it possible for you to disclose the entire picture to assist potential investors in making an informed decision?
Cheers, Dev

I personally don't deal with investments, but as I understand from Manalapan, most of the bank income comes from trading. Loans don't provide anything right now I think, but Bonds/Investments are a large part of the bank's income. From what I can tell. At the end of each month we have had more than enough to pay back all the accounts with the interest. We are in the process of hiring someone to help with investments (we cannot watch MD all day).
Also that stat page your looked at is in need of an update, but as Manalapan and I are both starting school again in the coming weeks, that is not a high priority.
Manalapan is working on a Forum for the bank site. Once that is up, our Directors and Employees will be able to explain what they do and how they do it in more detail. |

Thank you everyone for your comments and for providing your input on ways in which Dynasty might improve, and please keep them coming. Our goal is to continue to grow the bank in a managed and responsible way that ensures we are able to deliver the services that our customers want while simultaneously protecting our depositorĘs assets.
As this forum outlines, we are adding new features, beginning to automate some services, and are in the process of hiring additional staff. We will continue to improve and streamline the bankĘs website and on-line abilities as our programming team is able to implement and test future enhancements.
Devlin, you have some valid points and questions. We have not had a problem meeting our interest obligations to date, but are working to expand our income especially as it relates to loan income to ensure we are able to continue to meet all liabilities as the bank expands. Our goal is definitely to diversify our income sources between the market, stocks/bonds, loans, and special projects.
While we will not disclose the exact details of our revenue streams, we will work to make sure that our reports provide enough information for you to make informed decisions of the bankĘs strength.
If you are aware of anyone looking to leverage some unused assets to secure a competitive loan deal, please send them our way.

One thing that bothers me about Dynasty Bank is the limit that one can only deposit 500M ISK per month. This seems unfair to single-character players, whereas someone with separate accounts can deposit 500M ISK per month per account.
Is there any intent to relax this limit in the near future? I mean, to 1G ISK or 2G ISK?

We have that limit in place because we don't want the bank to get too big too quick. If we had no limit, we might not have made it past month 3. All work and no play makes Iknota a dull banker. |

At the end of the month Dynasty Banking will be assessing its cash flow to determine if there will be any changes to current limits and rates. At that point we will be able to say whether or not any of those numbers will change.
