Dear friends,
Unfortionatly I have to give you some bad news.
Like many of my viewers know, I have not made a video for a whole year now.
There are many resons for why I have not made new ones.
The main resons are:
There are many good video makers out there and it's hard to keep standing out of the crowd.
To be able to stand out you need to play a lot.
To play a lot you need to have a lot of time
I dont have much time anymore.
To make a rather long and boring story short:
I was playing eve ALL the spare time I had, it's my fault for playing too much, I know this. BUT it is who I am.
IF I try something I give it my 100% , 95% is not good enough, it leaves me with a feeling I could have done better. Everyone that knew this or flew with me knew that.
I ate, slept and breathed eve.
At a certain point I started failing my exams and if I did not do a major change to resolve my time issues I would have lost years of study & and end up without diploma's.
This was one year ago, and at that point I decided I should cut back on eve, leave it till christmas.
Just before christmas time I met a lovely girl and started dating her, a whole new world opened for me, I started to go out of the house more and finding new hobbies besides eve
(I'm actually into radio controlled helicopters now OMG OMG, not because of her though, she hates them)
And all this time I have thought about Eve less and less, (the game itself thatis), but the people and friends I made in the game are in my head daily.
I miss the talks, the fun we had, the ganking of the innocent, praising the guilty and gallons of rum.
But it just was not worth the immense time involved and dedication expected.
People expect DaMiGe to be DaMiGe, and nothing less, I just cant bring it like i did anymore.
Time for me to focus on the real life.
As for the character DaMiGe, he is still skilling and nearly 71mil sp, my RL dad will be logging him in and skilling him up for the time being. He told me he wants to use him as a highsec hauler... Oh well, atleast the navigation skills will pay off.
So if you see DaMiGe online from now on, its not the former DaMiGe, its just my dad bobbing the spacelanes.
My Eve time ends here and now.
All of you deserve an official goodby from me. I will miss you all. some of you have my msn. If anyone wants to stay in contact with me personally and
you dont have any way to contact me, but still feel like staying in contact, mail me at: damige@damige.net
I'll try to respond to as many mails as possible.
I will be in touch with eve here and there at times, and i do find CCP does a great job at it. (sign up with you anyday)
I hope you will understand how things can change, people change, priorities change.
Please stay "out of character" in this thread, no minmatar hate now.

Don't know you personally but...
Eve is a game. It is actually fairly pointless playing if you don't learn anything and hopefully your time here will prove well spent as the experiences you had in eve are applied to RL
So yeah, nothing lasts forever and you have to move on some time. Don't sweat it as so long as the above is true your time here was valuable to both yourself and those you played with

Well, I do not know you personally, but you have my sympathy.
If playing EVE starts to seriously effect your RL in a negative way, the reasonable thing to do is to take a break.
My recommendation would be to not terminate your chars though.
This way you can always come back...

Good for you, to be honest. Letting a game become your entire life is pretty bad and I sincerely recommend anyone in that position to find something in real life to focus all that energy on. Why? Because accomplishments in the real world are real, thats why.
Ive seen your videos by the way. Very good stuff!
Hope it works out with the girl, and if not, you will be one experience richer anyway. Have a nice life, mate.

Us Carebears can feel bad when infamous players depart for other horizons too, even though space is safer to travel through with their departure...
Still, its a game and life is more important. Enjoy, there is a lot out there. Just remember, sometimes you need to go back to old haunts to remind yourself of who you are/were. Just don't shoot at me when you come back
PS-There are some really crazy RC groups out there, including ones that mount CO2 guns on their equipment and shoot each other down (or sink their enemy's ships). Might be a fun diversion if there are any in your area....

This is one of the sadest of days in EvE, to see a great true Gentleman of a Pirate hang up his flight jacket, ime sure i speak for a lot of people in the EvE community in saying that DaMiGe has npt only been fun to fly with but to a lot of players New and Old a great help and inspiration in finding our way around Eve,
on a farewell note from myself Psyone and all in A-C-E we tip our hats to you in recognition of all you bought into the EvE community and for the years of fun you have provided not only for us but to all in Eve including the GM's.

IIRC family members are allowed to access your account.
CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |

If members of the same household use the account it is not ACCOUNT SHARING. The whole point of 3 characters, when EVE first started, was supposed to be that number of family members could play. So, yea, it does not matter whether it is his father, his mother, his sister, his brother, or his bloody cat are playing EVE, so long as they are members of the same household.
God, I hate people like you, "know it all" who just itch to point out a sand granule in someone else's eye, while missing a boulder in their own. Go away, troll.
