In certain systems in eve i lose connection 20 30 times usually right in the middle of a fight or in a plex. This has happened in 5 or 6 separate systems well over 50 times now and nothing i do seems to fix it. Its not my comp and not my internet so wth anyone? |

What makes you rule out your computer or ISP as the cause behind this? |

I'm having the same issue. I spoke with my ISP and they do not see any issues with my connection. I played for the first time last night for hours with no problems. Anyone know of a fix for this? |

well, I know I didn't write that... I did a full traceroute from my machine to the ccp server and it timed out when it hit ccp. Here's the trace info:

I know you didn't... were just reinforcing the point that whatever the ISP say is not allways correct, not that it is impossible tho... Ive had a bunch of probs with different ISP's and they all purely denied it were their problem "cause they couldn't see anything" until I told them what their problem were and they agreed ... The fact that your trace times out when it hits CCP servers is pretty standard... I cant do that either and I havn't got any probs.. I know that routers are easily programmed to block out trace routes.. prolly in order to make sure ppl dont know what obstecals they need to pass in order to enter the system illigally (just a guess tho)..
EDIT: I would edit out the first 2 IPs on your trace route... I wouldn't want ppl to know those tbh |

I dont know how much this tell you but id ask my ISP about it if I were you.. I reached a max of 36ms of lathency when pinging one of CCPs IP's but when I tried tracing in your direction it ended up above 200ms (not good)..

Sorry to jump on you like that. I'm not a morning person
I understand what you're saying and I guess I should expect that I would time out on a ccp trace route. Here's the new weird thing: Just played this morning and was able to stay on for an hour without getting booted. Not sure what's going on but I think I'll let the trouble ticket work it's way through and see what ccp says.
Thanks for the reply. |
