Since the last major patch I've been having an issue where roughly every hour after I log in, I get disconnected from the game. I don't lose TS or Vent or internet access etc, just the game.
USA, West Coast Comcast ISP, never had issues before except for bad lag but now I can predict to the minute when I'm going to get disconnected. I don't have a clue what could be causing this or what I can do about it.
Help please. |

Turns out it was something really easy (and quite stupid). I installed a virus scan program about the same time as the patch. Over the weekend I disabled the program before I logged into Eve and voila, five straight hours, no disconnect.
Sometimes it's right in front of your face.

Wonder why that program had such a problem with EvE.

There's a lot of people having disconnection issues. Tried to play this morning and it's worse than usual. I can't stay on for more than 5 minutes. Nothing has been installed or changed on the computer. Tracert to the eve ip shows nothing more than 250ms. Since you can't ping the eve server IP I did a continuous ping to the IP before it and it was fine. I got disconnected and the pings never showed a problem.
