Ever since this thread was posted in May 2008... http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=776918 ... new alliances have not been able to submit alliance logos for use in game.
As an alliance creator I often get asked by customers about the alliance logo submission process and many are very dissappointed that there has been no updates/news on this since the original CAOD post 3 months ago.
Some new alliances have put real effort into creating their brand identity and really want the pleasure of seeing their creations in the game when they log in.

Anyway, I want your support to raise this as an issue. I don't want to demand huge amounts of developer/programmer time I simply want to get an update from CCP on where we are in this process and a 'rough' deadline for when this issue will be resolved.

I would totally support a streamlining of this process, just like happened to the datadump was streamlined.

Yes, randomly removing features to replace them with new versions Soon(tm) doesn't work when it's three months later and we've heard nothing else. |

Logos via api would be great but not as vitally important as getting a process for new ones again. We submitted ours before the old process was removed but never heard anything.

I submitted our alliance logo in May this year, and two months later (or so) they removed the option to submit logos and nothing's happened since. Though it seems to be a symptom of a bigger problem, I wish it would be addressed. |
