Who the hell are these races and why are their artifacts supposedly interesting?
Has CCP developed the storyline along these guys at all? I haven't seen anything concerning this just yet and consider myself an EvE lore junkie.
Anyone else have an idea? |

No storyline that I know of. No timeline. Only lots of speculation from players. |

Edited by: Pottsey on 20/08/2008 09:02:16 The items and ruins have storyline and timelines, well not full timelines but you can paint a picture of the timeline with large chunks missing. I was writing a profile up on each race with everything we know but stopped due to lack of interest and help from others. For example there is a Yan Jung Micro Processor that says its 1000's of years old.

Technology of Note
The Sleepers were masters of virtual reality, neural interfacing and cryotechnology.
The Takmahl nation excelled in cybernetics and bio-engineering.
The Yan Jung nation possessed advanced gravitronic technology and force field theories beyond T2. Have self repairing buildings that use nano tech with power sourceÆs that last over 1000Æs years without fuel.
The Talocan were masters of Spatial manipulation and Hypereuclidean Mathematics.

Edited by: Deviana Sevidon on 20/08/2008 11:25:27 Possible ties to the current races and factions can be drawn, for example that the first Sansha drones were not created out of Jovian Technology but are rather a combination of technology found in Takmahl and Sleeper artifacts, but this also just player speculation.
I would really like to help with a project to create a definitive timeline for the EVE background but in many areas there is so little info that it is difficult to start. |

I've complete the entire Yang Jung mission line in Deltole. It's really interesting and did add alot of depth to the game. The stuff you get at the end of the missions are often better then Tech 2.
The balance is different.
The modules you get are as good as Tech 2 but the fitting requirements are lower or equal to tech 1. |

As far as I know, the Talcan, Yan Jung, Sleepers, and the Takmahl were meant to be Human colonies that also originated from Earth/ came through the EVE gate; they either died when the EVE gate collapsed or fell apart some time later (I think later). If there is more info on these races you can get by completing the missions regarding them, it would be nice of someone could post that here - I'm running on guesswork.
The Jove are what those races could have been had they survived, while the Enhedduani have only been mentioned once (the short story 'Theodicy') and, as far as I know, have yet to be actually acknowledged as existing in the EVE universe. Basically, if you want to go find out about these guys, go read Theodicy. ----------------------------------------------
Say "Amarr ships suk, lol." I dare you.
