Watching eve tv, the CSM part, with certain people remarking OVER AND OVER F*** this, F***ing that, I really have had enough of the verbal diarrhoea.
If you have such ABYSMAL self esteem, that you need to curse so that people think you're cool, it's actually the other way around, you're making disgrace of yourself and people will like you less, if at all.
Other than that, Keynote yesterday looked awesome |

**** you man.
The majority of the population doesn't look at the 4-letter words the same as some of you christian-types. To most of us its no different then any other cuss-free insult
You've chosen to insult people who do use 4 letter words. The mature thing would be to NOT insult them while trying to form a valid case against using cusswords on the stream.

Confirming that I swear because I cut myself
How about you pull your head out of your ass, and realise that not EVERY culture is as close-minded and evangelical as your own.
Just because people in your particular isolated enclave of (probably) America bundle cursing, gay sex, and murder in the same basket doesn't mean the other 7 billion people on the planet should conform to your absurd hatred of a particular four letters in a particular order.
In conclusion, if you don't like it. Don't watch it. I'm sorry you were ear-raped by a syllable

You're watching a fanfest about EVE, E_V_E, and you think there's not going to be massive amounts of swearing? Get over it, or don't watch. You're making the rest of us look bad. |

While I feel he's being a bit too sensitive for this game (whose official motto is "Harden the **** Up") I don't think he's being particularly close minded and evangelical per say.
If I may play Pubbie's Advocate (like a Devil's Advocate, only a bit dumber and fat) he might just be (inelegantly) attempting to suggest that the community leaders should perhaps be attempting to be more eloquent than "fuckin' a, fuckin' b, fuckin' c..."
However I would counter with the fact that community leaders (ever since Goons drove BoB out) aren't pretentious assholes with sticks up their asses is one of a great deal of things that makes EVE so special. |

+1 to OP.
The more crude and aggressive somebody is, the more they are compensating for something in their life. Cursing and swearing actually TAKES energy so there must be something awfully wrong.

I'll have to agree with the OP and others. While dropping a fukc or sh|t now and then is fine, imo, using it every other word is just proof of the very limited and rudimentary vocabulary these guys have.

Coming up with ways to insult people without calling them a 4 letter word takes up even more energy. So i guess that makes you even more ****** up, eh? |

I guess I'm a christian type who never really understood why certain 4 letter words are "bad"
If any word is used too much it shows a lack of vocabulary. But cussing definitely has its place and can not be replaced.
No matter how hard television/radio networks try, dubbing in different words ruins it. Make faction war occupancy pvp instead of pve https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=53815&#post53815

Realize that an insult is an insult. Using a 4 letter word or a 6 letter word, its still resorting to name-calling/childishness due to your lack of ability to form a valid argument against him. Just because you dress it up doesn't make it any less childish.

Theres another thread about certain people on the CSM being American and that's why they can't string a sentence together without swearing.
I don't completely agree with that, but here could be a grain of truth in it all, in that the educational system is in a BAD state in the US: 1 in 5 Americans don't know how to locate America on the world map ????? ROFL And listen to the Bewildering answer from the "intelligent" Miss South Carolina:))))

PS ; Im not picking on Americans, just on their Government for the Education System there, Dr. Michio Kaku agrees with me on this;

THE VAPORS~
Oh words are not 'bad' per se - at least not in and of themselves, but their application and use (in a variety of contexts) are indicative of the maturity of the speaker, that speakers relationship with the audience, and a measure of the intellectual level of that relationship.
Most commonly the use of words that might be broadly accepted to be 'offensive' or 'vulgar' in a public setting would be recognised as reflecting either a desperate attempt to appear outside of any intellectual argument (and therefore part of the 'mass'), or to provoke genuine ire and displeasure from segments of an audience. Either way such an attitude is likely to be born of deep psychological insecurities on behalf of the speaker - possibly a fear or paranoia of being revealed as a 'fraud' and unable to generate articulate and reasoned thinking and then express it.
I personally think it owns that we have a game where those people with such insecurities and such a powerful desire to be 'accepted' by their peers are given an opportunity to speak in a public setting: where in most other environments they would be derided. Its like a care system for the socially stunted
