Yeah, cos Kennedy only helped to improve relations between the US and the USSR and help Martin Luthar King fight for rights for blacks and Bush only seem to recklessly blow shit up in exchange for oil
I'm not sure whether to laugh or go throw up.

Have you seen the vote on that proposal? If we wanted the oil we would have had the companies setup and drilling before we had the new Iraqi prez. |

We invaded Iraq to invade Iran allowing us access to their fields which are much more profitable. Also an invasion of Iran will allow us to dominate the Persian indefinitely as well as give us a foothold capable of fielding units that can directly threaten southern Russia. |

I suspect its either a propagenda film to try to atleast salvage the bush legacy. Either that or some director trying to make a cheap buck on a lame duck president. |

[sarcasm on] Well, as usual, Oliver Stone makes a movie that sucks up to the establishment ....... [/Sarcasm]
Lets be honest here ... Stone doesnt make movies that flatters the US Governemnt. Its not his style. As a well known Democrat with a penchant for conspiracies (Stone that is) I expect this to be a totally unflattering account of Bush, the Bush familiy and its government. If anything, I expect Stone to add some of the more wilder rumours about the Bush administration.
To the OP who is a bit of the 'tin-foil hat' brigade, America got the president it voted for. Dont come moaning in these forums about democracy being eaten away, conspiracies, internet restriction laws etc. because you Americans voted for him. The rest of the world told you not to, the rest of the world laughed at you for it but you didnt listen. Now you're getting what you voted for. If you want to see a change, vote for those (or stand for office yourself) who will change it to the way you want it. Stop whining about it, do something about it instead.

LOL Kennedy, you have no idea how extreme that man was. He negotiated with the Russians and the Russians gave in because they'd developed ISBM's and then Kennedy decided bombing Cambodia was a good idea eventhough they had nothing to do with the Vietcong.
Then Kennedy had the dead and babies voting for him. Bush could have had that too but he didn't did he? Bush's fraud wasn't on the scale of that of Kennedy. |

Keep watching Faux and telling yourself that while thousands of US troops guard oil installations and Halliburton ships the oil out of Iraq and the Iraqi government has no control over the oil fields. The only company that is allowed to touch Iraqi oil is Halliburton who is shipping it to the US and having the oil refined by Exxon.

Congress (mostly Republicans) voted on the ability (backdated for 9 years)to shade over the fragrant disregard for the Geneva Conventions, apparently torture is only torture in the US if you kill someone and of course the people they are applying it to are apparently "unlawful combatants"...that they pick up in war zones, not soldiers.
Apparently, the Chinese have a poor history on human rights. WhatÆs the difference here?
HereÆs one for the conspiracy theorists, Senator Jay Rockefeller (Democrats) voted in favor of this debacle, I wonder if it had something to do with him knowing that hard evidence of the US being involved in torture existedà

It's precisely because Bush is such a hot button political issue that any movie about him is, imho, going to contain too much opinion, either for or against.
Too much opinion = not enough fact, at least that formula seems to be true with regard to movies. |

I don't see how it could be propaganda for Bush. It's made by Oliver Stone. He's not exactly what anyone would call close to conservative or republican. |
