ok been a carebear for most of my eve time but been doing more and more pvp in groups and some solo. was a Caldari pilot but cross trianed into Gallente for pvp. using t2 cruisers to keep cost down and just wait for right targets so i don't get over my head but been few times when it was close and just wish had a bit more. question is what do you all think about rigs on t1 cruisers. at first i was NO WAY since cruiser cost 2-4mil and rigs 10-25mil but now thinking if it get you a win why not. but not sure if bonuse is worth the cost. |

Edit: woops, only read the title is bad.
I rig my t1 cruiser, but with cheap rig, like weapon rig / resistance rig. |

Some rigs, especially weapon damage and such, are dirt cheap these days. Most weapon damage/optimal/falloff/rof rigs, except the missile ones, are around 5m. |

Even cheaper in some areas. I personaly use a anti Explo Pump(about 10 M) on my Thorax(mostly because any decend Rupture will nuke you without one). Would love to stick some extra Damage Rigs in but don¦t have the grid.
It¦s not that good on throw away ships, but usefull if you keep your ships a little longer, why not? |

If you PVE a lot just save components that dont sell well and make the unpopular rigs from them. |

TBH, I T1 fit all my T1 cruisers. I save the T2 stuff and rigs for BC and higher.
T2 fit it and rig it if you want to eat other cruisers, but dont think you can take on a BC or BS because you are well fitted. |

I wouldn't place anything bigger than 2-5mil rigs on a t1 cruiser. That said, I have 3 trimarks on my harbinger. |

Three falloff rigs on Ruppi is awesome. Gives about 23km or so range with the AC's which is pretty mean. |

Sure.
Hi: 4x 220mm AC, 2x hvy missiles Med : 10mn mwd, LSE, 20km point low : overdrive, gyrostab, nano/DC
Drone : warryarr !
Works okay, tbh. People will say "This is worthless, no t2 guns, no barrage, i cant just orbit and shoot and win without putting any effort !".
Just stay outside webs and slowly chew your opponent. Pick your fights, you cant beat everything with that. That said, I beated thoraxes, AFs, frigs and an Arazu with that fit.
Also, no the mwd wont perma run, but you dont want to either, else you wont hit crap. |

i personaly like the R4X (thorax) alot i mean i can take on brutixs and noob drakes with this setup and it only costs like 18-20 mil
x5 t2 small neutron guns void ammo
10mn mwd t2 point and a med cap injector (100 charges)
1 med t2 armor rep 2 explosive hardeners 1 kin hardener and a crystiline carbon 800mm armor plate
ive killed lot of shit with that setup i highly recommend that |

Yeah, its a good setup for tanking, except you should be able to squeeze a 1600mm in there.
But as a matter of fact, this is the perfect example of what kind of setup you can beat with the stabber setup i gave above. Big problem of injected thoraxes is the lack of web, or point. |

Hi. I'm pretty new to EVE, been playing about a month. I have no pvp experience, and I've been spending the past couple of weeks plowing through level 1 mission in a Coromant destroyer. Unfortunetly, the corperation I am a part of got into a war with another corp, and after jumping into a system, I was disabled and destroyed by an enemy cruiser.
My question is, is there any way to outfit a destroyer in a way that would make it at least stand a chance against an average, pvp-loaded cruiser? Or are destroyers pretty much just easy pickings for a cruiser? |

Not really. You would need substantial skills to take down a cruiser, and it would have to be against someone who wasnt very capable of flying well. The problem with destroyers is they are good for taking out frigates and whatnot but against a cruiser with superior firepower and fitting capability, they pale in comparison.
That being said, I have lost a stabber to a t2 fitted dictor before. :) |

As a caldari player I probably would not rig a T1 cruiser. The best option rigs (missile rigs) are 3x more expensive than the ship and while they may grant me an edge I don't find them to be cost effective. Shield resist rigs are nice and cheap but it really doesn't bolster the flimsy defenses of the Caracal enough to really justify the cost.
Other races have some good cheap rigging options but as far as I'm concerned, it's not worth it for the cruiser that best suits my skillset. |
