how can you say something like that when every alt there is fly one?
every gang there is field least one?
surly it say something about the ship, compared to so many others, dont you think?
only thing that make me giggle is when you get jammed at gate/station and all you can do is sit and deagress and jump/dock ..lol

I see a lot more battleships than falcons on the battlefield.
ergo: battleships are even more overpowered than Falcons, otherwise why would so many people fly them?

I see alot of alt's that fly curse's, does that mean curses's are overpowered?

Ecm isnt overpowered its the other ewar that is a bit underpowered. Ewar is meant to be a force multiplier,it can give a gang an advantage against a gang it wouldnt normally be able to engage.
Ecm drones on the other hand are overpowered and need some nerfing (make them more like ecm burst so they only break you lock would do it) |

Personally I wont say ecm is overpowered it sucks big time but can be countered just to few do this. but I do say the falcon is over powerd as i do not think a cruiser seize hull should be a better jammer the a battleship as the scorpion. so either the falcon needs a small nerf or the scorpion a buff.

They don't. In fact, I'd say only a very small minority of alts are able to fly Falcons.
Granted, Falcon alts may be somewhat common, but only because of two factors:
1) A Falcon is a very useful addition when your main already has damage/tank/tackle covered. Ewar and scouting are the two major things your average solo ship has trouble doing, so a Falcon fills the holes nicely.
2) A Falcon is one of the easier ships to fly on an alt. Since it's safely 100km or more from the fight and has no problems with range/transversal/etc, it's actually possible to multitask with a Falcon and not constantly lose them. Compare this to, for example, a Megathron alt: if anything goes wrong in a fight (such as unexpected backup arriving), you will often only be able to get one of your two ships out. The Falcon's range gives you time to warp it out before it gets tackled and killed.

Now, most decent-size gangs will field EWAR, but that doesn't necessarily mean a Falcon.

Yes. It says it's an over-hyped ship that a lot of people invent wild stories about to justify demanding a nerf.
And even if what you said about the popularity of Falcons were true, does it really mean anything? No, because EVE is a class-free game. Everyone can train whatever they feel like at any time. What would happen if the Falcon is even 5% better than the other recons?
Within a few days, every ewar pilot who has the skills to fly one will be using one.
Within a month, every dedicated ewar pilot will have trained Caldari Cruiser V and be flying one.
Within a few months, the less-dedicated ewar pilots will finally get around to training Caldari Cruiser V, put away their old recons, and fly one.
Even if you nerf the Falcon, all you accomplish is repeating the process with a different ship. Give it enough time, and the best ship for the job, even if it's the best only by a very small margin, will be the most common. |

The falcon is in a fragile t2 hull with almost no DPS and who's sole purpose is jamming. The scorpion can fit a bit of a tank and do a bit of DPS. |

Also anybody who brings up the latest Cown video regarding ECM keeps forgetting the nice little fact that said Falcon had almost a full rack of Minmatar Racials. |

Why not just say I don't see shuttles in pvp, therefore they must be underpowered, you muppet!
Not to mention a battleship you would expect to see in pvp, a recon ship...
And talking in literal terms, a battleship is an easier ship to fly in combat because its more forgiving to an unexperienced pilot. Though obviously not in the face of a falcon because it will never lock target...
At this point in time I think a falcon is the only thing in the game giving the eos a role. |

no ECM drones do not need nerfing.i like having drones that can protect me just like a falcon alt,unforanitley i cant afrod to have a falcon alt like 90% of the eve community 
ECM is fine just shoot 2 vollys with say,a stealth bomber and the falcon will die. you just got to catch the poor alt off guard. |
