Hi was just wondering if anyone could help me out with what agent quality and agent standing is good for. I've done tons of missions for this level 1 agent and gotten him up to like 3.50 standing. He is -16 quality. And just the other day another lvl 1 agent from same corp became available with +20 quality. Question is do i switch to this new guy, or do i stay with the old. I have been told that agent quality only affects your rewards, and after trying 1 mission with the new guy i got the standard type reward i did with the neg quality as well.
But what about standing, what is that good for? Does doing missions for an agent with excellent standings towards you give you more standing points with the corp than doing missions for an agent with 0.0 standing?
Would really appreciate if someone could clarify ecactly what agent standing and qualities are good for.
Thanks for any help

you would probably better using the map function to find an agent that is higher lvled it will give better rewards and higher faction rewards though the missions them selves will be harder
though to answer your first Question visit this link it is usable in the ingame browser and has oddles of info for the newbi

always go for the best agent possable, search the corp database for available agents, if you can get a lvl2 agent then go for that, a -18 quality lvl2 agent is better than a +20 quality lvl1 agent

ok i get the quality issue, but what about personal standing with agent? Should i switch from a -16 qual level 1 agent with 3.5 peronal standing to a +20 qual level 1 agent with 0.0?
What exactly is the personal agent standing god for?

When you do missions for an agent, you don't only raise your standing with him/her personally, but also with his/her corporation and faction. This means you can get good agents somewhere else as long as they belong to the same corporation or faction as your current agent.

Yeah that i understand, but now i'm just talking about the personal standing with the agent... Does doing missions for an agent where you have high standing yield more corp standings etc than doing missions for a 0.0 dude?

Edited by: Rakoon on 05/06/2004 18:18:17 I don't think so... My understanding is that the better the quality of the agent, the better the jump in standing when successfully completing missions, so it has nothing to do with your standing with him/her but with the quality of the agent.

Personal standing raises your effective quality for that agent. The more you work for him/her, the better the quality will improve. To check effective quality of the agent, click on the agent's info.

Edited by: Sylia Masters on 06/06/2004 17:58:25 Importance of standing is as follows: Personal->Corp->Faction. Agents have quality, this effects the missions and rewards you recive. Effective quality is based off of your skills, your verious standings, and the agents base quality. Higher level agents give better rewards and standings increases then lower level agents. Finally agent quailty is not compariable between levels (eg: Level 1 agent with +30/+50 quality/E.quality is not as good as a level 2 agent with -20/0 quality/E.quality, regardless of your standings. Said agents may for example give 10k reward for one and the level 2 would give 30k).
