No, not at all, i'm saying i'd prefer it not to be like it. People can run their alts for all i care, but i would prefer(meaning, if it was like i wanted), that it's one account, one man, one destiny sorta thing.
It becomes unfair when game mechanics are changed to accommodate something with alt-use in mind. Then it becomes a "real money rules" scenario. |

Lets assume for a twilight zone moment that your wish becomes true and it becomes 1 toon per account 1 account per Credit card 1 client per IP, what would happen to:
All the alts in existence that represent time and money spent to get to where they are
Families where more than one member plays Eve but have one credit card to pay with.
Families where more than one member plays Eve and have multiple computers networked on the one IP address
Other organisations where multiple computers operate through a single IP address
And the most critical issue is it would cut the playerbase down drastically meaning the servers are less loaded resulting in a sudden mass of unemployed hamsters, PLEASE THINK OF THE POOR HAMSTERS!!!

Think of it like that. With our cloning technology, it's not even that much of a stretch. |

I can easily take all the steps necessary to work around this. I can use multiple addresses, multiple IP's, multiple machines, even multiple credit cards and user names.
If I can get around it, many more can. Your just limiting the advantage to those of us who are willing to go to what depths are needed in order to have an advantage over our opponents. |

If you want to make this game so difficult, then why did you purchase this character? I personally know the original owner of this character, and he is freaking out now, and is DEEPLY embarrassed at the drivel that spouts from your *bleep*. You didn't even change the BIO, which still reads:
"That someting is not allowed, is not a vallid reason not to do it."
How sad are you, that you jump into the life of an established character, and start spouting this inane, illogical and ill-conceived notion that we shouldn't be allowed the freedom to experience this game with all the possibilities available to be utilized? How naive or foolish are you that you think these notions of yours would hold any water at this time, when the game has been well under way for 5 years, and established principles of play firmly rooted in precedent?

I do everything with one character - market, missions, PvP, research, hauling (when I have to - recently I've taken to putting up courier contracts).
That said, I am against your proposal. There would be certain advantages, such as the removal of alt scouts, but it would be detrimental too, as larger organizations practically require being multiple places, with multiple abilities, at one time, in Eve. I get by with my single character, but then I am low-ranking by choice, not seeking higher positions. That and it's my feeling that once you start taking on the kind of load in Eve that requires multi-accounting, it's really not a game anymore, and wouldn't be fun for me.
Also, as others have said, Eve is not real life, so any comparison between the two on this topic is really struggling for validity, at best.

I have multiple accounts. Once you start putting your hands in multiple cookie jars its hard to stop... not to mention, having multiple accounts makes eve feel like X3:Reunion, because you end up having your own private fleet of battleships willing to do your bidding whether that be killing small gangs or raping level 4's.
Necessary evil anymore tbqfh.
