I remember the time when I bowled over ten 10-15 year olds when they tried to start a moshpit. In that same gig, I got the fat biker sort fall on top of me. I was not a happy bunny, gave him a shove back into the pit and punched him in the nuts

Here too!
I can't even count the numerous damages i've got at pits during the past 10 years. Even now my ankle has been hurting for few months, but it's getting better all the time. (Municipal Waste was worth it! :))
Then again, i really hate the people who seem to think that the whole point of 'moshing' is somehow related to intentionally hurting other people. Especially the younger people tend to sometimes have those habits. In my thoughts, just mosh like a madman, and if you see someone falling down, help him/her up before he/she gets hurt down there. -- * sigh * |

The only reason I've gone into a mosh pit is a mode of transport. Dive in one side and find youself flying out the other in next to no time. Sure beats pushing through all the crowd.

That should be a friggan good show
On my current list of shows I have tickets for.
- CLUTCH (not metal but heavy and some shows provide a few good pits on select songs) - Danzig, Dimmu Borgir (don't like the Dimmu too much so will probably hit a bar before we go in for Danzig) Moonspell, Winds of Plague, and Skeleton Witch also playing but will not be seen - In Flames (glad to see them for a second time), 36 Crazyfists, and Gojira - Trivium and All That Remains - Unearth, Postest the Hero, The Acacia Strain, and White Chapel - NOFX (These punk gods are showing respect for my beloved city by honoring us with their last show of the official tour, RVA baby)
These are my upcoming heavy shows, I love music and I have a good number of shows I am going to also that do not fall into the heavy or metal catagory. So no moshing at those shows

Edited by: Sp0ngeB0b on 27/08/2008 14:03:14 not really on the same level as you guy, but at a local gig, all the chavs go in them to start on people and get in fights with 'emo's' and 'moshers'
when one of the bands there decided to shout wall of death and all the chavs ran over to one side, and everyone else went over to the other side, there was one ******* that thought he was 'hard' (the type that stands 3foot infront of the rest of everyone and sticks their arms out and shouts bring it ect, i thought why not and shuffled over a bit to get infront of him.
i might not be the heavyest guy ever , far from it tbh, but i'm taller then most (about 6", weigh about 11.5stone)and play a bit of rugby, when the band started again and everyone ran, i decided to put my shoulder into him and he ended up on the floor with about 30 people bouncing up and down on him
then when it finished i went outside and him and another guy started trying to hit me, ran off with a bloody nose and a fat cheek.
made me lol anyways, i decided not to do it again because half them carry knives and it's not nice walking into a house with blood everywhere and your mum having a panic attack and threatening to call the police
and /me wants to see slipknot sososo bad, they droped out of reading i just want to say i've been in a moshpit with really big hairy men and say i've survived :p
I havn't got a sig yet :D |

Apart from pendulum (cuz nothing beats them ♥), Slipknot has put on the best gig ever both times i've seen them (download fest with joey goin upside down, and Unholy alliance 04)
You just gotta love Spit it out live JUMP THE **** UP (Not the best crowd ever compared to some i've seen and been in, but it's crazy as **** still I saw more injuries being in that twice than mosh pits at about 20 other gigs haha including Slayer, hatebreed, metalica, megadeth etc
