The Link
That's quite alot, however WoW will still make up for the majority of those industries. I would like to see some % for the different games that are out there.

"Economic depth in games such as Eve Online mean they avoid gold farming"
1) \o/ 2) is it weird that i'm a little peeved they still called it 'gold farming' given that the only gold in this game is all strapped neatly to Amarran ships? __________________________________

yeah I just saw this.
another interesting article is this one:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7226818.stm
particularly the bit about the 'scarecity of cash'. Goes a way to explain why missions are profitable i suppose. Plus i think ccp allow character trades for isk and support selling gtcs for isk to combat isk sellers.

Thats a hypocracy though. They want to ensure that they (CCP) and their partners make the cash of selling GTCs. And, as pointed out before, CCP themselves link so called "resource sites" in their mission and resource forums, which in turn have advertising links leading to ISK and item sellers.
They all make RL money. CCP links those sites, thousands of people go there to get information etc User sees multiple adds for ISKs and items, ships etc User clicks on the link leading to the ISK / Item sale site Resource site gets paid Sale site makes money ISK and items circulate in eve
