Evening all,
Just reactivated my account after not playing for two years - getting used to the changes, and making some cash running missions. This character used to be my 2nd (1st was an industrial type), and as I wasn't very active during the last month or three of my old subscription, I've got quite a lot of odds and ends of skills trained up to level 5:

So I've got the base skills to be able to train for either assault ships or interceptors (my aim for now is not to train anything bigger than a frigate class) - what skills do people think I should train up before I go for one of these?
Thanks in advance, Telnor
EDIT: Oh, and my other point - as it's my small hybrid turret skills trained at the mo, I'm obviously going for a blaster or rail based inty/assault ship..... but yes, will of course train the other types gunnery skills at some point in the future...

Well, if you can, train up a dominix or a raven for easy as shit lvl4 missionwhoring, buys you plenty of inties and af's
I'd say max out your electronics, get cloaking, covops, evasive maneuvering, interceptors, max out your gunneries or missileries, AWU up to atleast 4, your cap skills need some work, tackling and all that ****... Plenty of work, plenty of work.

Having all of the fitting and cap support skills high will help you no matter where you go in eve. The typical fitting skills thrown around are Weapons Upgrades/Advanced Wep Up, Electronics, and Engineering. The cap skills are Energy Management and Energy Systems Operation.
As for Frigate skills, max Navigation skills. You'll want a MWD.

If a skill will help your build in any way, you want to get it to at least 4, maybe 5.

and you are pretty much to the point of jumping into gallente t2 frigs, could use an AF for missions/plexes and with some nav skills an inty for pvp

I'd say get Electronics to 5 first off, then working on getting the rest of the support and fitting skills to 4 at least. Training the gunnery spec skills would also be helpful. I'm training a similar character and am about 5m SP ahead of you if you want to see what check out what I've done: http://ineve.net/skills/character.php?charID=Mzk5OTI4NzM0 (Currently training Surgical Strike 5).

Thanks for the suggestions folks - I'm putting together a support skills plan on EveMon based on what you've suggested so far (featuring lots and lots of engineering, electronics and navigation skills so far). Any more ideas anyone has, keep them coming...

Ok, I've begun by training the quickest skills on my plan (most improvement for the training time and all that). I've set up an in-eve account:
Telnor Viskne on In-Eve
Still working through the levels, with the shortest first unless anything takes priority -- small railgun and blaster specialisation are on the list to buy.
Anything gapingly obvious holes in the skills that are going to end up putting me in a pod?
