Agreed.
Only video ive enjoyed somewhat recently is Gasi's video. Altho i will say his megathron setup is ultimatly very cap weak and accounts for some of the close fights. Dual Rep setups require dual cap injectors these days. My opinion tho.

single rep megas are easier to monitor.. but double repper megas are 2x more fun to watch.. regardless of how many flaws a setup like that has.
I give props to all movies made, and some setups are not overall as strong, vulnerable to eccm, vulnerable to neuts...none are perfect. I would argue that the dual cap injector sucks too much grid to reduce dps for instance.. gimping the setup so that you are forced to tank more use up those extra boosters and ultimately die. All have flaws some more interesting to watch than others regardless of goods and bads.
Props to anyone solo'ing these days, in whatever tanks/buffers/implants they choose to take on whatever comes to them, whether they are blue/red/smackers etc. They still go and do their thing and without the not so great vids..would never come the "epic" vids that come from learning/experience and accepting criticisms.
There's only a few things I can't stand in vids: 1) way too many effects despite how pretty they look 2) 1x speed in anything less than a most epic of fights 3) All fleet or too much blob footage put in.
I still give these a few to enjoy some eve media however, leave feedback on some, positives and negatives. I leave positives for films I didn't enjoy i.e. lots of fleet but nonetheless even though it's not my bag of tea...they are still good fights/good hard work put into them.

I'm glad you enjoyed it =).
I wouldn't say it's cap weak, but surely weaker than ships with dual injectors or fitted for gank. I only get problems when I encounter neut ships, other than that is more or less cap stable ship if you handle it correctly. I've flown gank ships before and IMO they're boring and easy mode. Only reason I fly active tanked (with still decent dps) Mega is because tanking is the part of pvp I love the most. Tanked Domi is also very nice but heavy guns are just more fun =).

Its just my opinion through experience lads. Gasi megathron just grazes 800dps and if he's implant pimped 900dps at a push, whether or not problems come from that is down to your experience, i do know that neuts are very popular in pvp, not to mention gazi's mega needs alot of faction cpu savers to make the fit.
You can use a mega or u could use a domi with 750 dps and a tank nearly a third better. or you'd use a dual cap injector hyperion.
If i fit the mega out for low sec pvp, id go with my standard mega fit of single lar/plates, but i hate the megathron... bitterly, id use any other race before resorting to it, including the Tempest.
Again im not discouraging the man's video, its very good, but again ive always whistled my own tune when fitting ships. |

The dual rep setup still lives on the mega, i guess being spoiled for battleship choice just blinds me to certain restrictions.

i tend to fly megas with electrons dual reps heavy meds and a heavy nos. gasi is also one of those guys and i give lots of respect for him.
dual rep megas are much harder to maintain in combat then neutron megs. however i do fly neutron megas a ton now days also. |

also its worth noting that micro managing a tank these days becomes harder when people tend to often have a *cough* falcon alt *cough* its easier just to jump in and flick on a damage control and get to business while controlling an alt in a falcon or whatever.
On that note, is there a release of fraps or an option in fraps that allows you to fraps one window?, it stops when I alt tab which sux because I keep missing out on frapsing good fights due to this. |

I had a huge probelm with this for quite along time, till i trainned my self to just click on the other eve window on the windows toobar this prevents fraps stopping for me ... |

I would like to record both eve windows if possible, but I suspect this would require separate computers for each account.
And Kessah the active hardener dual rep mega tanks exactly the same as a domi if you dont count the extra cap stability of the domi not running large guns or its extra med slot. With a heavy nos on the Mega the cap is stable if you aren't getting neuted. If the web nerf ends up on live I would fly the Domi over the Mega however for the tracking of medium guns and the fifth med slot. |

Have to say I really liked FailBear for the fights and its different soundtrack, Clear Skies for being original and Garmonation 5 was pretty awesome. Downloading the rest mentioned now.

I was looking at that setup before. It's true that gives you really nice tank, but it eats cap ... specialy because I have 1 med and 1 heavy cap injector to fit heavy neut for pesky nanoships. In the end it all comes down to situation you're in.

Fair enough. How long can you run those dual cap boosters on the domi though :P
Considering the mega has more base HP and cargo, as well as a far more cap efficient tank with aux pumps instead of accelerators, the advantage window for the nanobot accelerator domi should fairly small.

Im curious to know why people think that because dual cap injectors used on a ship will mean u use cap faster?
My arguement to this is simply this:
You inject when you need cap... Thats it. Why flatline, you need cap to run modules, so you may use it faster, but you need the cap now not later? so im confused to the argument agaisnt them?

I can see a Heavy+Med being useful, use the Med when the Heavy is reloading or if you're getting neuted a lot or something.
If I had the medslot to spare though I'd personally go ECCM.

The accelerator rigs you mentioned are what I was talking about. All things equal, a ship with aux pumps will use less cap than a ship with accelerators will to tank the same damage, only the accelerator rigged ship can tank more DPS. I just don't believe in the use of accelerator rigs in most situations. There is usually a better solution 
Notice that while the cap is not sustainable, the sustained defense efficiency is higher, meaning the triple-rep nanopump ship is able tank MORE dps than the accelerated ship even when the accelerated ship is burning cap charges much faster (though admittedly it can carry five more than my setup). I got your setup from here, let me know if you are talking about another setup though.

Gavin that 3 rep setup is terrible. My opinion ofc. You've just gone full circle and reinvented Gasi mega setup only with less dps and even less cap stable.
Nano bots give u more armour faster. It basically comes down to this:
That domi setup i use is battlehardened and has held the test of time for over 2years.
Irrespective of all you think, we have together derailed this thread so, there will be no more replies from me in this thread and ofc il continue to whistle my own tune while setups are concerned. 
Also your domi setups using dual faction eanm's while the one of the left isnt and factoring in overload your setup is even less cap stable while im able to overload all lows for about a minute, which when trying to dock up can be rather more useful, that and your tank is 1053 and mine 1047 with reguards to actual capacitor defence instead of total theory defence.
