I don't think we will ever have the technology to make a game like a dream, or make a developer like CCP go back to its former glory of cool unlike the present "Sony Online Entertainment" they have adopted.

I'm lucky. I'm running EVE on one of the GameSquad dream machines from Falcon Northwest.

I used to use a 32bit operating system, but the guys on the EVGA forums talked me into switching to Vista Ultimate 64. I'm an XP fan and was sceptical at first, but being able to actually use all 8GB of memory is a huge plus. Been with this setup for about a month and it runs EVE in 1920x1200 like a dream, even with Photoshop, Firefox, and a couple of other programs running simultaneously.
If you can spare about 7k, you'll love it.

Someone else with dual 9800 GX2's.
A few weeks after I bought mine the new 280's came out..
My two GX2's are on waterblocks though.. so they run a lot better, considering I have them SUPER overclocked and they never go over 50c.
The stock card runs extremely hot. Before I got my waterblock, I was playing crysis and I didn't notice that the GPU fan wasn't on. Game crashed, I opened up my system monitor and the cards were at 107c..

whatever the rest of the specs, it would include the following:
2x WD 300gig Velociraptors set up in a Raid stripe for maximum speed
all those setups above, they need to edit these babies into the mix.
