Just a little bit of fun (well for some, I found it an interesting challange)...
On a topic of your choice create a gramatically correct paragraph of text using words which all begin with the same letter (you may choose which letter to use).
I think I may do a scoring system and see who can come up with the best. 1 point will be deducted for every time you use a word begining with any letter apart from the one intended and 1 point will be deducted everytime the sentence is not gramatically correct. It must be at least 100 words long and over excessive repetition will also loose you points (dunno how much, depends how bad it is) Points will be awarded for whatever I feel like .
Noone will probably try this but I though I may as well put it out there and see what people came up with. I'll do my own tommorrow some time.
There will probably be a prize of some sort for whoever scores the most points.
Have fun.
P.S. Yes I really am this bored.

I was totally going to try it until I read this.
EDIT: Did you mean letters? Because that's a much more logical restriction.

This was the best that I could do. E is the most frequently used letter to start word in the English language. I may have been held back by the topic the chose to enter my head but I was only able to get 28 words before I got bored of trying to push anymore crap into it
"Efficiently emanating everlasting energy eludes even educated entities. Educated entities, exhibiting exhaustive expertise, entertain energy efficient experiments. Energy efficient experiments enter esoteric enumerations evading even everyday electorate expertise."
Hope you are happy with that try
EDIT: This beats mine and it actually sounds good, excellent job sir I would never have thought of going that way while at work

I never claimed that I was good at english .
It was mainly because I just watched V for vendetta again and was wondering how long it took them to come up with the speech at the start.

Edited by: Slade Trillgon on 27/08/2008 10:52:18 Well here was my second try. It wasted the first hour at work, LMAO!!!
It is cheesy, but it works grammer wise according to MS Word and has 136 words. It also would be better broken up into seperate paragraphs, but you asked for it in one and it still "works".
Some sensational satirist said, tstay solid stone statues; soon Sanderson shall stop serious stone shaving.v Standing still, staring serenely, statues start struggling. Something sinister seems so strong. Shoving skyward stable stationary stone starts stiffly stretching. Sensations shooting straight, some statuesque soldiers start staring sardonically. Seriousness, streaming solidly, starts sentient soldiers. Sardonically, sentient soldiers, start shuffling. Second sentry scoffs; saying, tsome stone statues started staggering supposedly? Summarily start strapping soldiers! Seems someone senses some serious spooks.v Soldiers start strapping, struggling sensing something strange. Stern stares start scanning. Something seems seriously superhuman. Soldiers start scurrying somehow significantly. Statues start stomping stones. Sergeant Sanderson screams, tSoldiers!!! Stand strong. Stone statues shall stopv Some seconds slip somewhere. Sun starts shining. Statues start solidifying. Sergeant Sanderson says, tStop stone shaving. Soldiers should save stone soldier statues.v
Hope this wan not to torturous
P.S. Thanks for the challenge.

I went with E and could only get 50 words before giving up That's awesome, it works and is also a proper narrative __________________________ Indulge Me Consider Yourself Indulged - Immy ♥ Wow immy scored - Xorus

That quote would really fail your challenge, not long enough and half the words don't start with V. Actually thinking about it everyone would if the ones good at english is being judged by one who is not (but that's loud thinking)

Thank you Yeah I tried "E" at first also, as seen in my 1st post, but I was only able to get like 20 something with that. I got stuck hard on that one. The "S" one flowed pretty easily once I started with the narative aspect.
I seriously thought it was cheezy, but then I showed it to my pen and paper pals and they really dug it also. I am surprised no one else has posted some tries or successes. This was a real cool idea/challenge. I hope it was not somones homework though

Um, mine is actually a proper sentence. Look it up. It's the longest string of a single word that can still make a proper English sentence. Tactical Logistics using the last T1 Frigate hull!

A mishmash of moderate misinformation, your post may make many manufacture misdirected meanderings, but will not match the most meaningful message my memory recalls in that speech. -

LOL, I suck at English, my native and only tongue , and I studied sports medicine.
Just excessive use of a dictionary, thesaurus, and a very inactive 45 minutes at work in the morning, were the reasons why I got one finished.
