Edited by: goodby4u on 26/08/2008 20:29:13 I grow peppers in my back yard, not spicy ones... Just bell peppers, they have been growing for about a month or two now and are close to producing fruit.
However Ive noticed small holes in the leaves, there is no discoloration, but there are many small flies buzzing around them and there were small white insects below the leaves.
My question is which of these bugs are killing my peppers and how do I combat them?

Are the leaf walkers some kind of aphid ? I grow chillis and i know that they are vulnerable to this so at a wild guess id say normal peppers are too. Im no gardening guru of course but i have had some success, perhaps get a pleasant to the environment mixable spray to treat those leaf walking insects first as they are the most likely culprit. Your local gardening store is your friend, our guy behind the desk is a goldmine of information on all our fruits and veggies.

Maybe, they didnt look like aphids tbh.
Also, the small walkers arent under the leaves anymore, so im beginning to think they arent the ones doing the eating.

That would be considered cannibalism, and is highly frowned upon in many parts of the world.
