Well its been a few weeks since the nano was annoucned by CCP and the propossed changes implemented on the test server. I was wonder how those who have tried these changes have manged to adapt and would love to hear some reports.
One of themain curiosities that I have is the how medium sized ships (cruiser class) will be able to tackle missile boats without getting pounded to death now that it is unlikely they will be able to speed tank missiles.
Other issues have also troubled me such as Amarr tracking which was boosted tot to long ago and will now give them a better chance of hitting nano'd vessels - will this now be overpowered in a slower eve.
And of course the central issue for me - solo and small gang PvP / guriellasyle hit-and-run. I'd love to hear some reports on how pilots have adapted.
Regards,
Kal.

Missiles, last I heard, are getting reworked, because CCP's changes were so broad they made missiles a bit too powerful. Thus, it's hard to say how missiles will be with the new changes. Amarr will definitely be in good shape after this patch, in part because Matar and Gallente (BB's) are getting a hefty nerf by the patch.

knowing how ccp likes to "delicately" f*ck things up, i think we can safely say they will nerf missiles to oblivion making caldari missile boats nerfed as much as gallente nas minmi poudly annoying fc's since 2007

Absent any sort of drastic changes to missiles, it's a good time to be Caldari or Amarr.

But they have already confirmed that there will be "changes". And when CCP nerfs something, they are very efficient.
Expect missiles to suck again soon(tm). --- Don't put your trust in revolutions. They always come around again. That's why they're called revolutions. People die, and nothing changes. |

Lol, I see you have as much faith in CCP as I do when it comes to these things.

ill bite, pounded by missile boats......tanking missiles is kinda NOT THAT HARD.....you just have to fit a tank, and if you are talking about taking missiles from several ships, then yes you will be popped, as with any ship that is called primary......all this speculation is just amusing, i tank missiles the same way as when i first started playing 2 years ago, just fit a tank.....the only reworking that missiles might need is slower explosion velocities to compensate for slower ships(so that some of the damage can still be negated by speed)......they even took the speed nerf off of sisi to take another look at it.
so while everyone is grabbing their tinfoil hats and running for the hills, there is still mass speed on tq and will probably be there for a while, as this is gonna take some thought to get straight......unless they take my idea
how to effectively make this nerf work:)
EDIT: realized i made "unless" 2 words best sig ever:)

TBH, I don't think much is needed to really "fix" nanos, certainly not as much as they're currently planning to put in.

I don't think it's really tinfoil hattery when they've put forth their objectives, their changes, coded them and put them on the test server. When I can actually log onto the test server and test their changes, that's not just speculation, heh, but rather just 1 step away from being live on Tranq. As far as suggesting they need to think about this situation, lol, yeah, I agree. But imo they should have done that a while back, before proposing changes, coding those changes, and making asses of themselves talking about HG snakes.
