Wait, iRacing was launched to the public two days ago already, not in 9 days. What are you on about?
Yeah yeah, not many know or care what that is, but it's the only thing that might make me quit Eve for a while. Not paying for two online games at once. I'm still undecided though.

From looking at WHO it could be decent, will probably go better than Age of Lolnan. It's not going to kill WoW or EVE though.

According to a friend of mine who has a beta key, Warhammer is nothing to write home about.
Basically not much tactics to combat due to short debuff durations, just descends into who can spam the most damage the quickest. At least that was his observation...
He's already moved on to AoC and is eagerly awaiting more end game content there.

How exactly is an outclassed product in a different market going to do jack to eve?
Eve has coexisted with wow and both have been successful because they're so different, I'd wager.
Warhammer is far closer to wow than either is to eve so I'll put 15 isk on warhammer sinks because even if it's fairly decent it won't be able to compete with wow... you know, just like aoc, vanguard, eq2, and all those other games that tried for that same sector but came up short.
I'm trying to think of games that are in the eve sector but I'm not coming up with much beyond ultima, which is old, and jumpgate, which was obscure. Who knows, perhaps the new jumpgate could have a chance but it sounds like they're carebearing it up by taking out the risk, which would put it in the wow sector.

Yeah, I think you are right about warhammer. I think most people are kinda like me sick and tired of genre mmos based off role playing games.
Then again, if it were 40k I would probably be all for it. I would have also jumped over to shadowrun if it were and mmo so...LOL!
I guess I am just sick of orcs elves and mages right now.

I think indeed 40k could be a realy good game if they handle it well. However it will be a more 'ground based' game so to say. I doubt you can fly space ships yourself. Maybe at best some ground vehicles like bikes and vypers and such, or at least that would be very cool.

ITS SPORE - YES spore is realsed 7th of sept - & it shall take me away from these forums were I have lived for the last year or so after becoming ever so bored of EVE-Yawn online, I done almost everything EVE has to offer, alot of us are burned out with this game until new content or sumthing Wooo - comes into EVE - the forums are were il lurk.
