Meh... So I've been thinking about the purchase of a Paladin to replace my Abaddon for mission running, bear in mind that this ship would be dedicated to purpose, no PvP etc as I have other ships for that.
I've never flown one before so question; is it worth the capital outlay? Is the paladin (all things considered) a worthy replacement for the Abaddon as far as mission running goes?
TY in advance for the useful replies and Stfu for the inevitable pi$$takes that this forum generates, no matter the topic ;)

Paladin pretty much owns the Abaddon when it comes to missioning. The only question should be is it worth training (you need those skills anyways) and is it worth the cost. Generally, the answer to both is yes. Also consider the Nightmare, as it's
v e r t i c a l, as well as spikey. Oh, it's a nice ship to boot.

Well it's got more damage than it knows what to do with, makes looting/salvaging easier, uses less ammo, has more fitting, etc.
It's just a question of skills and price tbh.

Kronos isn't as pimp as a paladin/golem though. It does okay damage with 425mm rails, but it's not quite the same hurt that a golem can put out. There's always the concern of flying an expensive ship, but I mean, what else is ISK for other than to lose it?

Well, I'm sold on it. Err I think..
It's allot of isk to loose and no doubt it'll make me nervous flying that many hours worth of work around.. But it's a game of risk vs reward I suppose, and EvE's style of risk produces a warm fuzzy glow in the groin area like no other game can
