Dunno if this is the right area to ask for help on PC problems..
Anyway. I just switched from my old case(had this for awhile) to the new one.
Everything is connected and well, but for some reason, my top 200mm fan isn't spinning...
Those interested, main parts are: 750i FTW mobo Corsair 1066 x4 1gig memory 2x 8800GT antec 650W PSU (I think)
Now.. My brother was interested in the case as well (I wanted him to try the antec 900, not 1200) and usually we got similar setups. Only thing different is his mobo and RAM type.
My brother was doing the pc together for the most part.. When he finished, the computer didn't turn on at all, there was a loud pitch sound coming from the PSU. I assume the PSU died during the switch or something. Now, he got a new PSU and tried again. No good, didn't turn on at all. Could it be the mobo? He knows about the static shock and touching metals to discharge. So I don't think he'd make such mistake.
Help please? :( I hope it isn't the case that the mobo died out (or that he zapped it accidently somehow). I made sure only just the ram, and all powered required connected to mobo connected so it can at least POST/turn on, but it didn't...
I also need help on getting the top 200mm fan to work.
Parts from my brother got for the most part.

Your top fan either has a small two/three pin motherboard connection to which you should be able to find and should be labeled "case fan" or it has the standard PowerSupply molex connector. If you have connected it up and it doesnt work, all you can do is pretty much go to the computer store and get another 200mm fan to stick in there.
For your brother's computer...tough to say without actually looking at it. I guess make absolutely sure that the main wiring harness to the motherboard is plugged in "all the way" It should be clipped so that you cant pull it out.
Other thoughts: I used to like Antec powersupplys, but I dont think they make them as good as they used to. I ran into two of them that werent supplying the proper voltages to the motherboard and thus the motherboard wouldnt allow the computer to turn on. That may be what has happened to you, but to have the same thing happen with two powersupplys is pretty astronomical. So my next assumption would be the motherboard itself. _______________________________________________ RuntimeError: ChainEvent is blocking by design, but you're block trapped. Ah, I fixed the top fan. Somehow, I missed the power port for it to connect with :s
As for my Brother's PC problem, still need help. And thanks for the tip Sharupak.
While I was researching to find out why. My brother happen to test the two PSUs in question with another PC box, both worked, so the culprit in question... Must be the mobo. :( -----------------------------------

No wait...
I just remembered something else. I have seen lighting strikes that come through ethernet and fry a nic card which sits on the PCI bus which prevented the mobo from starting. Once I pulled the card out, wala it fired right up. If you have any cards or anything periferal plugged in, take it out.
In fact, start it without the video card, switch the memory around, start it without memory. start it without the disk. In fact, see if you can start it without any of that stuff in there. _______________________________________________ RuntimeError: ChainEvent is blocking by design, but you're block trapped.
