Sure i know it exist a large trade with contraband and such anyways and that its hauled around anyways but mainly its hauled around in "exploit"-close conditions hence i want revitalize the idea that ive heard about in Eve, the skill "Black Market Trading".
With this skill you will have access to the actual "Black Market" its exactly like the normal market its just that it only has contraband and illegal stuff in it (all this stuff will be taken of the normal market then). To place buy orders and sell orders you need the skill "Black market trading".
The current smuggling mechanics is a bit flawed (there arent any as i know contract the item maybe?)
I suggest we introduce a new Rig called "Hidden Cargohold Optimization" or something like it which transforms 33% of your total cargohold to a hidden cargohold unscannable by customs officials or other players. 200 Calibration points.
I also suggest we further on introduce more black market items (as now we have boosters) like illegal ammunition or illegal ship mods. (or we go hardcore and contraband faction items from pirate faction or warring factions i.e. Navy Raven is contraband in Gallentespace?)
TL;DR version: We need smuggling mechanics:
- introduce black market
- introduce skills for it
- introduce cargohold rigs for smuggling
- introduce more stuff to smuggle
- maybe make pirate faction items contraband

This should be in features and ideas forum but I am not so sure i like the idea. Half the fun of it is running away from the customs officials with a cargohold full of boosters  Sig removed, inappropriate content. If you would like further details please mail mods@ccpgames.com ~Saint |

Ah yes you are correct i dont come with features and ideas as often so i missed i guess, well even if its half of the fun there should be a better way of doing it imo. These rigs whould be hugely expensive (and contraband in it self) so doing it the old way will still be viable.

I think it might be a better idea to make a few stations in fixed plexes (althou not with beacons) that has local markets where you can sell contraband.
that way you get a real black market wich not everyone will know about (if everyone knows its there it isnt much of a black market, is it?)
perhaps 1 such station per region

atm you can sell conrtaband on the usual market. it was removed but sneakily made it back to TQ :)
unfortunatly (iirc) a dev stated that alot of the lag is caused by market orders and general use of the market. (hence the jita craphole) Having a market for specific for contraband has been thought about before and IS a fantastic idea but due to lag issues i doubt anyone would support more lag :'''(
as to exploit conditions i would agree. My alt went 64 jumps through high sec empire afk filled with contraband and never got caught. the black market skill @L1 made you 99.99999% invulnerable to customs.
