Everyone knows that an Unknown can be scanned by any probe. I keep finding a few sites that seem to take hours to nail down while others I am at 0km in a matter of three scans. Is it possible that certian Unknown sites are more sensitive to certain probe types? If I Grav scan 15 times with no result might i try Mag or Ladar? Any thoughts?

What probe you use won't matter. Finding them is a matter of chance, and some are easier to find than others so sometimes you'll get lucky and find it right off and other times you'll go through 2 or 3 sets of quests before you find it. How hard a site is to find also has nothing to do with how good the loot is, so skip the hard ones if you are concerned about isk per hour. I've gotten 25mil in loot from sites that I found first try and 2 mil in loot from ones that took hours. It's all random.

This is false. Higher end sites have lower probe signatures so they are harder to find and often take many scans to find. Higher end sites have a chance to drop better loot. It's not all random.

This.
While its chance based it's not random chanced based if that makes sense, not sure it does now |

i tohught this originally but the answer is no.
just one thing tho, when using multispecs, make sure you have only cosmic signatures selected, as if you select anomolies also, they can also show up as unknown on the multispec scan. |
