Originally by: Epofhis Pure certainly have extended their lines quite a bit. It will be interesting to see which region is more important to them: Deklein or Vale? Under what I understand is intense pressure from both Bob/Friends in Dek and Tri in Vale, it seems an untenable position to hold them both. Although, to be fair, if Tri wants Vale they're going to have to kill a hell of a lot of poses to take it. lol.
I know. I used to live there. lol.
A big o7 To all the friends and wingmates in Pure. It was fun. Also a big o7 to Tri... you guys smack far too much in here but you can fight like bastards. lol.
Your understanding is quite wrong.

Quote: The mistake is more to do with the fact that neither placed much value for their pvpers or even industry. Most of their focus was on personal gain insted of creating a kick ass industry base that could fuel a war machine. Too many people only playing for their own wallets insted of working as a alliance.
never a truer word was spake

Seems to me I know an Alliance that did this... what was their name again??????
Oh ya... Hydra
BTW I'm gonna quote this sometime, someplace I'm sure, because it goes on in a lot of places. I'll make sure I credit you when I do.
Hydra is a perfect example of why I am correct. They have not got a clue how to run PvP and Industry. Heck, I even would not move my Alt corp into a alliance such as that.
ASCN, NC alliances, Xetic etc etc. Hundreds of alliances have died for the same reason - they are not industry or pvp alliances, just a collection of solo players ratting/mining away while the leaders get rich off mining ops, POS's and income/refinery tax's. All short term personal wallet padding goals rather than any serious longer term ones.
I.E If you are a alliance and fail to work like a alliance, then you are doing yourself no favors. That is the same mistake the oxygen theif alliances have been doing for the past few years, and that will be the same mistakes that they will continue to do. --

Lord Waratron, i think the prob in hydra was a bit more intricate than this one liner you post, tbfh. been there for a bit, so i've also personally been part of the problem. live and learn. but the problem is not as simple as the standard post you're pasting (and you posted the same for ASCN when the problem was very different). i've seen them and none of the hydra leadership wallets are big.
but well, your points are valid. sue me i agreed with a bob vet. still, if your points are right that focusing resources for alliance would damn work better, still, very few alliances or group of alliances would be able to fight GBC, now or in a year, GBC which has more pilots than NC, plus the bob infrastructure/ship list behind. that includes, since 2004, multi hundred B wallets, plus the loyalty so those are dedicated to alliance. Hydra never had the wallets to start with, nor did most of your enemies.
instead of bashing on copy/paste always the same posts, brag about what you built, bob bbq, loyalty, most if not all corps/alliances would love that. Smack in local plus that kind of crappy posts from obvious gbc alts reflect poorly on you guys. looking like the "new tri" local chat lately.
i dont think you need that, but once again its just a very personal opinion
